The 7th of July 2018 is a day that we will never forget.
I could not wait to marry my best friend so the biggest highlight of our day was just saying "I do!". We organized the entire wedding ourselves along with our families to ensure that everything from start to finish reflected who we are as a couple and our individual style.
The whole day from start to finish was memorable and beautiful! I can't pick a favorite moment, it was all absolutely perfect.
It is the greatest joy to finally be married to my favorite person! I have been waiting for him my entire life and now he is finally mine.
We honeymooned in Mauritius. We had the most amazing time.
My wedding look could best be described as rustic, vintage and simple. I went for a more natural make-up look done by Marilee Lund. My hair was also done by Marilee Lund from Mooi Nooi make-up artist & hairstylist. I had a beautiful up style with curls hanging in all the right places.
My wedding dress was a stunning and playful tulle and lace dress, ivory in color from Ilse Roux Bridal.
With regards to my wedding shoes, lingerie and jewellery I shopped local brands and kept it simple!
We got married at the most amazing venue just outside of Ceres, Kaleo Guest Farm.
My bridal beauty regime leading up to the wedding consisted sometimes healthy eating. I used cetaphil products for my skin care, and I didn't use any special teeth whitening or spa treatments, I kept everything super simple!
Our decor was simple, rustic and elegant. Our main flowers were proteas , we used loads of pennygum and roses as well! Our amazing venue provided all furniture and we hired naked bulbs from EC Lighting and tent from Best Event Hire. We hired most of the decor for the wedding from Function Hiring 4U in Kuilsriver.
The groom wore a grey-ish brown suit and pants with light blue shirt and navy tie and brown leather shoes and the groomsmen wore grey-ish brown suit with light blue collared shirt and burgundy or navy bow tie and pants with brown leather shoes. Shirts purchased at Old Khaki and bow ties from Woolworths.
My bridesmaids wore long length velvet dresses and open style tan or cream coloured shoes.
Our marriage officer was the amazing Alfred Brunsdon.
We were blessed enough to have Karin Haasbroek from Karin Haasbroek Fotografie capture our special day, and she far exceeded all of our expectations!
