3 months before my wedding I dreamt about this day everyday....
We are not the traditional or convectional couple, if we had a slogan it would be, " Yes we are retarded, but we are also kind of amazing" .. the planning and arrangements for our big day was a smooth sail , we were blessed with amazing service providers , my photographer literally fixed my eyelashes with nail polish minutes before walking down the aisle #blessed , so in short our whole wedding was a highlight for me :)
My biggest highlight is seeing everybody so close to us enjoying their time and sharing this special day with us. The obvious is marrying the man I could not have even imagined for myself :) The best feeling and my most treasured is him calling me his wife !

It was a surprise from my husband, he arranged a short break at Ant bear lodge in the Drakensberge were we spent 3 nights in a cave :) IT WAS AMAZING
It was very romantic with THE most beautiful views, the lodge itself is very unique we had buffet for breakfast and dinner was a 5 star 3 course meal, everything is organic and made on the farm from the bread to the yogurt .We also spend sometime on Nottingham road where we explored the local activities such as wine and goats cheese at Swissland cheese and visiting the breweries
We are planning a proper Honeymoon for later in the year
My look was a bit alternative
I had the white dress but is was accompanied by black suede shoes with floral embroidery , a black birdcage veil and rose gold jewelry
For hair and make-up I went a bit edgy with a messy undo and a dramatic cat-eye
I made my own veil and garter
Michelle from Unmissable makeup was our make-up artist made me feel very comfortable and she also mad my bridesmaids look amazing! Shannon that works with her also did an awesome job with the hairstyles

Yes they have a guest house that can accommodate 10 people and then the Honeymoon suite and man cave
Luckily there is quite a few places that offer accommodation in the area
I didn't do any drastic changes to lifestyle or regime
Just followed my normal day to day, the week of the wedding I did cut out alcohol and up my water intake to insure for a glow :)

We opted for a very quirky dinosaur theme
We had no flowers, lots of dark greenery , mixed vases, tons of candles, black pineapples , army men and my favorite GOLDEN DINOSAURS

We liked the all black look , added a bit of sophistication and also blended well with our alternative look
Black floral skirts and black blouses - They looked AMAZING !!!!
We got legally married the Wednesday befor e our wedding day , and then my Husbands highschool Afrikaans teacher did the ceremony for us, it was very special filled with short snips from our favorite poems

Our DJ was amazing, he made us feel very comfortable , his website is full of useful tips and examples of programs
He also made us 4 videos and about 100 photos for free which was really special to us :)
We did not go for dancing lessons , my husband is quite a good dancer and he choreographed the dance for us.
