How did your love story begin?

We have been in the same church for a few years and then I started serving in the ministry where my now fiancee was serving, at first I was very shy but as we started talking we both knew that God has placed us, at the right time, at the same place. We very quickly came to the realization that this was a destiny relationship meant to last forever. Since then our love for each other grew in our House as we grew deeper in relationship with each other and with God. We have had a beautiful journey so far and cannot wait to see what God has in store for our future!!!

Tell us all about the proposal.

One Sunday night after church he dropped me off at home, coming inside with me, and walking me to my room, which he rarely does. When I opened my bedroom door I was caught by complete surprise as my room was filled with fairy lights, proteas and a Bible on my bed. He then spoke the most beautiful words about our journey thus far, opened the Bible where our favorite Bible verse was underlined with the words on a bookmark "will you marry me". He got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife and I could not have been happier to say yes!! His mother and sister set up everything while we were at church and also hid a camera which was filming the entire proposal.

Magical Moments

It is almost impossible to single out moments but the highlight to me was every tangible and present sign that our Father was there. We knew from the start that it would be a very special day as we made a covenant to each other in front of God, our families and friends.

Before everyone arrived I spent time alone in the chapel, thanking God for the day He has made and that we could receive this huge gift. I felt His presence in that room so much. While I walked down the isle the wind started blowing through the place and I knew He was there. The ceremony was so special to us and we will treasure it forever.

When we were finally allowed to kiss each other as husband and wife for the very first time I was like a little kid that got the biggest present ever. I jumped up and down with joy with the knowing that I had my best friend as my husband.

My husband had the most beautiful words towards me during his speech and that I will forever keep in my heart.

Looking back at everything, we are so grateful for every person who made our day so much fun and incredibly memorable!!

My Special Day

I had the most amazing person design a one of a kind dress for me, Jana Robertson from Silver Swallow Design created a beautiful cross stitched lace, long sleeved bodysuit with a high waisted soft tulle skirt. She also made a unique, marbled veil for me with hand stitched flowers. All of this in a soft blush pink. I had lace superga's as my wedding shoes which Jana also colored the same as my dress. I had soft curls with a fishtail and dutch braid on the one side. The most talented Missy did my make up. She knew exactly what I wanted and made me feel like a princess.

The Venue

We got married at the most beautiful place, Cabbage and Rose Country Venue in Mpumalanga. When we started looking for a wedding venue a friend suggested that we go to Cabbage and Rose so we made a road trip out of it. When we got there I already knew that we could stop looking. We were welcomed by the beautiful Michelle and she showed us around. My husband could not stop smiling and just staring at everything as this was even more than we could have ever imagined. We knew that this was the perfect place.

The day before our wedding myself, my parents and my husband's family slept over at the venue. Everything about it was spectacular. It is the most beautiful rooms I've seen. My hubby and I stayed in the most romantic honeymoon suite, we were spoiled the next day with an amazing breakfast before we departed on our honeymoon.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My beautiful bride's bestie wore a custom made silver swallow floral skirt, and emerald long sleeve, lace bodysuit and leather lace ups.

Marriage Officer

Our marriage officer was our Pastor from CRC, Pastor Jerry. We had such a privilege to walk a journey with him and his wife before we got married. He preached an amazing message and gave us so much principles to have a blessed marriage.

The Reception and Entertainment

a Very special friend of my husband, Sean Tucker, was our DJ. He was a total rockstar from the start!!!! We did not have dance lessons as I totally have two left feet, but for our first dance my husband picked me up while he danced away.
