One of the highlights is the way my husband Regard looked at me as I walked down the aisle. It was truly something I would remember for the rest of my life.
I also gave my husband to be something every hour on the hour to try and mke him feel more relaxed and to spoil him a bit more!
We are avid campers and we received a Roof Top Tent as a wedding present. So we decided to pack the Landy and venture into Mosambique... no reservations... no plans... just tracel and if we wanted to spend the night in a town we did. Was magical!
The dress was something I would have never dreamed of wearing on my special day. I had it tailored a bit to make it more unique to my tastes.
It was tailored to have a detachable long skirt fitted over a shorter dress for the dancing. The beading was hand sewn for exquisite style.
The shoes I wore were flatts with the same beading as the dress.
My accesories were graciously given to me by my granmother.
We got married at Alkmaar Farmstay approximately 28km outside of Nelspruit. All of our guests stayed over at the venue
I just tried to stay calm and relaxed. (I was marrying my best frien after all!) One of my friends helped me with my make-up as I wanted it as natural as possible.
The decor I mainly made myself, painted the Welcome boards and Menus myself. I had no flowers, only desert roses suspended in glass balls above the tables. We tried to keep the furniture as casual and natural as possible
We had the best photographers there is! Liana and Johan truly captured every moment of our special day!
They also provided us with a photobooth and props and it was great fun and it gave us precious keepsakes.
I did all the planning myself, with a few ideas and comments from family members.
