Among many beautiful, memorable moments - there are a few that stand out. My grandfather from the UK, whom I had only ever met once before our wedding day, sold his car to fly out and share our special day with us. This was so special! And the time our awesome wedding photographer took us into a tea garden, played Matthew Mole's "The Wedding Song" on a speaker and took candid images of us while we danced and embraced every second of the moment.
We did! We went to the incredible Hideaway of Nungwi Resort & Spa in Zanzibar for 7 nights and it was breathtaking!
I wanted a very soft and elegant colour palette to compliment our classy, nature inspired venue situated on the slopes of the Magaliesburg mountains. We went for soft naturals with a blush pink and champagne as our colour scheme.
My look was inspired by a combination of natural elegance and total disney princess actually (hehe).

We got married at Red Ivory situated in the tree tops the mountains with a picturesque view of the Hartbeespoort dam. It was absolutely incredible and everything I had hoped for! Our guests had the option to stay over at our venue in one of 12 luxury suites. Some of our family stayed over and joined us for a buffet breakfast the next morning and others stayed in accomodation around the area.
Honestly I didn't have enough time to worry about a health/ beauty regime and all the excitement kept me so occupied it slipped my mind. I did however, a week before the wedding, go for a spray tan - that was about it lol!
My talented aunt who is a retired wedding planner sat with me to design our flower arrangements and venue decor. She understood my love for fairy lights and glitter and made all my dreams come true! We had combinations of baby heart eucalyptus, white and soft pink roses. I wanted a cascading bouquet which turned out beautifully and my flower arrangements on the tables scattered between candle light and fairy lights blew me away!
Our DJ was Ruan Kriek who supplied sound equipment and lighting for our dance floor.
The groomsmen went with light naturals and white with authentic leather bow-ties/ ties, suspenders and belts to match.

My bridesmaids looked so beautiful in their blush pink infinity dresses. These dresses were definitely a win as each of my girls could wear a design they felt pretty and comfortable in! The look was tied together with beautiful champagne/ floral headbands and a stunning pair of heels/

My dad - Andre Wilmans. He helped us sign all legal documentation and complete paperwork. We asked our family friend (Pedro Rodrigues) to conduct our ceremony which was a wonderful idea and so personal which we loved!
Our photographer was great! Photography was very important to me so I wanted to make sure we got someone who understood us as a couple and had a vision for our photographs inline with ours. He requested we complete questionairres prior to the wedding for him to get to know us better. He also used the information from these questionairres in a unique and fun way during our couple shoot. We enjoyed every minute being photographed!

We decided to do our cake cutting after the ceremony so it could be served during canapes. We went with a Ferreo Roche top cake and tons of Krispy Kreme original glazed donuts.
Our delicious, gourmet plated meals were prepared for us by the wedding venue. We chose options available to us and our guests absolutely loved every bite!

Our stationery was so beautiful I took atleast one of each item home to use in a scrapbook! They designed everything to our theme and concepts we had envisioned.

We attended dance classes to choreograph our special first dance and loved every minute! It doubled as date night for us and our choreographer Justin fused our English and Afrikaans tastes in such a beautiful routine with all the turns and lifts my heart desired!
