Magical Moments

The whole wedding day was magical. From the time I walked down the aisle with my dad who is on crutches who decided to walk down the aisle without crutches just made it so much more special. When my husband first saw me his face was priceless trying to hold back the tears. What an amazing day filled with love and joy.

The Honeymoon

My husband and I went to Phuket, Thailand for 8 days for a well deserved honeymoon. We had an amazing time together away as a married couple.

My Special Day

My wedding dress was simple yet beautiful. It had ruffles at the bottom of the dress with some embroidered detail on the top part of the dress. I had a simple veil which hung behind me. My hair and make up was done by Ashleigh and her team from Everything 031. My bridesmaids and myself had very natural looking make up. We all looked stunning.

The Venue

We got married at a stunning little country venue. The name of the venue is Macnut Farm in Assagay, Durban. We stayed at a nearby Bed and Breakfast with all the out of town guests the night of the wedding.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I was one of the calmest brides I know. Not once did I ever panic about anything leading up to the wedding day as I had planned and prepped everything in advance.

Wedding Elements

I went for a Western theme for our wedding so everything was very rustic looking. My bouquet had sunflowers and white roses and my bridesmaid bouquets had sunflowers with other white flowers. All my flowers for my centre pieces were sunflowers and baby’s breathe. There was a lot of hessian decor and I made use of haybales as well as part of the decor. The table numbers were done with horseshoes. The whole ceiling of the venue was covered with fairy lights and the tables all had candles on. The venue looked stunning once all set up.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

Due to the theme being western. The groom wore black pants with a white long sleeve shirt and a black waistcoat with a black cowboy hat and the groomsmen all wore jeans with a white long sleeve shirt, a burgundy waistcoat and a dark brown cowboy hat.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My bridesmaids all wore burgundy dresses with brown ankle boots.

Marriage Officer

Barry from Westville Baptist Church

My Captured Moments

Michelle and her assistant from Michelle V Photography captured all our special moments. From when the bride and groom got dressed right through the ceremony, into the reception. I had a photo booth which the photographer also provided. All in all the photos came out absolutely stunning.

The Wedding Planner

I did all the planning myself. From making all the decor to setting up the venue the day before.

Food & Cake

Hannah, the owner of the venue, prepared the food for our wedding day. We had many compliments about the food it was delicious. Sweet Magical Creations from Warner Beach made my wedding cake and all the cupcakes. They looked beautiful all with edible sunflowers on.

Wedding Stationery

I made all the wedding stationary myself

The Reception and Entertainment

Our first dance was definitely not the norm. Our first dance consisted of myself and my husband, the mother of the bride, the mother of the groom, the 3 bridesmaids and the 2 Groomsmen. We took 2 dance lessons prior to the wedding. Our first dance was a line dance to a country song.
