Magical Moments

I wish i could have this day over, and over again!
Everything was just perfect!

For me the most memorable moments were:

Walking down the aisle with my dad, seeing Estvan waiting at the end of the walkway.
I had a million emotions running through me.
The day i was dreaming about from a young age was here, it was happening.
I had this amazing feeling, this was the start of our adventure together!

Our first dance in our reception hall perfectly decorated with a thousand fairy lights, candles the smell of flowers, and our joyful guests!

Our couple shoot, this was the first time as husband and wife FINALLY!
We had so much fun with our photographer.

Having my grandmother there!

Highlights of our wedding:

We had two of our very good friends hosting a "Gin Bar" at the pre-drinks. This was an absolute hit!
It was something a bit different from the normal pre-drink receptions.
This was fun and exciting, our guest loved every "sip" of it! ;)

The Grooms Speech.
This was most definitely a speech to remember!
Although he could not get much out, the speech eventually turn out to him singing "Liefling"

The Honeymoon

We went on our Honeymoon the very next day. After a long drive and tired eyes we arrived in the beautiful Hartenbos.

We explored for 2 whole weeks, from Hartenbos, Knysna, Wildernes, George, and a lot of other places near by.

We also went to stay at the camping sites in a chalet for a weekend in Wildernes.
There we went hiking to the most beautiful waterfall. We made campfires, drank some wine and just relaxed.

We discovered a lot of new places, and things to do.
We all want to travel, but i suggest getting to know and appreciate your own beautiful country first before traveling abroad.

My Special Day

I wanted to look Simplistic yet elegant.

I wore the most Beautiful "Casper Bosman" wedding dress, it had the most beautiful lace bodice with a open back, and a bit of see through lace in the front, i paired that with a plain white long veil.
I felt like the princesses in the fairy tales.

I wore nude/gold high heels i bought at Foschini, i also had a back-up pair of sandals also form Foschini to go the night in dancing.

Earrings was from Lovisa, as well as the flower hairpins, as i was going for the simplistic look i did not want any other jewelry.

Lingerie was gifts i got at my bachelorette party. :)

My dear friend and fantastic designer, "Sune' Snyman" made me the most beautiful garter with a little blue stone, for my something blue. ( Loving the old tradition )

Hair were curls that were slightly pinned up by Carien from Salon Kitty, we had a bit of a struggle with the curls as it was raining basically the whole day and my curls just would not stay intact due to the weather, but she has got magic hands, and made me look gorgeous.

My Make-Up was extraordinary, done by Marissa from "MUD" Bloemfontein. I was in love with the way she made me looked, from the first day i went for my trial make-up.
I would recommend her to anyone, she is amazing in what she does.

The Venue

We got married in Bloemfontein, at "Monte Bello Estate".

The venue is simply amazing, Jeanne-Mari and her team went above and beyond. I didn't' had to worry about a thing, as i was planning the wedding from Upington where i lived at the time.

Everyone stayed on the venue, and had a nice barbecue the night before the big day, we also had a lovely breakfast the morning of the wedding with champagne and everything.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

Skin:
I had a facial every 2 weeks for 3 months.
I also use Este Lauder's morning & night cream, as well as their eye cream.

Health & Fitness:
I went to the gym daily, to look my best possible.
One of my good friends "Monique Mocke" is a personal trainor, and helped me, and encouraged me a lot to stay in shape.
I had protein shakes to drink, as well as a lot of water.

Teeth:
I went to the dentist 2-3 times to ensure i have the perfect smile.

Spa Treatments:
My bridesmaids spoiled me, and took me for a massage right after my bridal shower, to just relax and to take it all in.
We had some champagne, as well as a few giggles as one of the bridesmaids are very ticklish when getting her feet massaged.

I also went to get my eyebrows shaped and tinted, as well as very natural lash extensions.

Wedding Elements

Our venue were absolutely magical!!
"Grand Room Design" did our decor, flowers and furniture.
I Had the most Beautiful Bridal Bouquet that i have ever layed my eyes on. Ulrich did an amazing job!
He also made the flower hoolahs my bridesmaids carried, as well as the flower pins for the groom, groomsmen and the parentals.

Ulrich just took every picture i sent and turned it into something even better than i could have ever imagined.
It was absolutely spectacular!!

Our lighting were done by Lightsical, they also did the fringes.
They absolutely went above and beyond, and knew just what to do, to make a fairy tale come alive.
Dylan was so creative, and helpful at the very last moment i decided to do something in the roof.

Grand Room Design

Grand Room Design

Timeless elegance, executed to perfection! We celebrate style.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The handsome groom wear a navy suit, with a white Polo shirt. He paired that with a navy tie, a tie clip, brown leather shoes, a brown leather belt, a Fossil watch, as well as some branded socks reading: Estvan "Bruidegom".

The groomsmen also wore navy suits, with white Polo shirts, as part of their groomsmen gifts, they got wooden bowties, with leather bands, as well as branded socks and some browns suspenders.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

We went for a simplistic, yet elegant look.

The girls wore light blue/duck egg colored skirts made by "Hellen" in Bloemfontein.
They paired it with their own white blouse to look different yet the same.

They also wore nude shoes and and jewelry of their choice.

They all went for the pinned-up hairstyles, my maid of honor which is also my sister got some flowers in her hair as well.

Marriage Officer

We had a non-religious wedding ceremony, as our families are from different beliefs.

At first i had my doubts about it, and then we just went with it, and it was a ceremony to remember.
He gave us the most beautiful message, and it was something all could relate to.
He made you want to listen to the message, and it truly touched my heart.

We used Quinton from "Weddings Galore", and would recommend him to everyone.

My Captured Moments

"Sune Ferreira, Lifestyle & Wedding Photographer" is simply the best!
We only had a photographer, and with the photos we got, we did not need a videographer as Sune truly captured every moment in such a way, that the photos speaks for themselves.

She made us feel so comfortable, from the first photo shoot ( our engagement shoot ).
We had so much fun with her, it is just so reassuring to know that your photographer knows what she is doing.
Thank you again "Sune Ferreira" for capturing the most beautiful day of our lives.

We rented a photobooth from "Umpalumpa" they also made my guestbook.
This idea of a guestbook was perfect for me, as it was funny and everybody who took a picture also wrote us a message with their picture, and that was the perfect way of getting our guest to actually sign the guestbook.

The Wedding Planner

Jeanne-Mari from "Monte Bello Estate" was my planner.
She helped me so much, she sent me a list of recommendations from dj's, to photographers ect.

She definitely knows what she is doing, when i forgot something, she reminded me, when i thought of something she would already have done it.
She is absolutely amazing in her job, and she does it with the biggest smile, and the kindest heart.

She made me feel at ease every step of the way, thank you Jeanne-Mari!

Wedding Transport

Our wedding car was my dad's car, i would not have let anybody else drive me to my wedding! ( It was a "Jeep Grand Cherokee" )

Food & Cake

Our wedding cake was made by "Carrie's Cookies & Candy", it was so beautiful and elegant.
It was white, with rose gold and fresh flowers. We had 2 layers of carrot cake and white cake.

The food was prepared by the venue "Monte Bello Estate".
We had different Canape's for starters at the pre-reception.
For main course we had Lamb shanks with Gravy, Pumpkin tart with Cinnamon and Lemon, Greek salad, and a Roasted Vegetable Stack.
For dessert we had a "waffle bar" where you could build your own waffle with the most amazing toppings.

Wedding Stationery

"Umpalumpa" designed and made our guestbook.

We made our seating charts ourselves, we took hoola-hoops sprayed them gold and covered them with Pennygum, we then spun string and attached the names of our guests.

The Reception and Entertainment

We took dance lessons in the living room haha.
But we only practiced our opening dance the night before our wedding in the chapel, were we did a "dress rehearsal" with the wedding party.

"Star Sound" did our music, and they were absolutely fantastic!
The DJ was so good that he could not get the people to leave the wedding, as the wedding only ended at 4am!! ( Thank goodness for my sandals! )

Our lighting were done by Lightsical, they also did the fringes.
They absolutely went above and beyond, and knew just what to do, to make a fairy tale come alive.
He used different lights, to create the perfect ambiance.
Dylan was so creative, and helpful at the very last moment i decided to do something in the roof.
