From the start we decided to stick with what makes us happy. We had gourmet ice creams after our foot washing ceremony. There were a few yard games for our guests and snacks to keep them busy while we took our photos. We had the best 'Wedding survival demonstration' ever presented my my brother-in laws. Our main food was pizza and to top that all off we had s'more cupcakes and wedding cake.
We have not yet gone on honeymoon, we will be going to Phuket in July as I am a primary school teacher and school holidays are the perks!
My wedding dress was a sweetheart cut a-line dress with an embellished belt
My make-up was done by myself and was a smoky dusty pink eye and a light pink lip
My hair was an elegant up-do with a floral hair piece from Lovisa
My shoes were ballerina pumps with metal embellishments on the ribbon
My lingerie was a black lace butt hugging panty with a matching bra
My jewellery was just earrings that had morganite stones, matching my ring
I did not really have a desired look but I feel like I managed to keep it as naturally me as possible
We got married at a hidden gem venue in the West Rand. Willoughby Park
I managed to fit two facials in as I do suffer from acne.
Beyond that I can't say there was any planned weight loss but I did loose alot of weight
We went very DIY with our table decor. I got pieces of drift wood and stuffed them with succulents and moss and used it as the center piece as our tables were rectangle and long. Petruding from both sides was a line of eucalyptus to the end of each side of the tables. In between the eucalyptus were desert roses, dusty pink rose cuttings and baby's breath.
The main table had it's own piece of wood with succulents and had eucalyptus handing over the front of the table also with desert roses, dusty pink rose cuttings and baby's breath.
We had 5 long tables seating 10 each for our guests. Our reception had a sliding door that led straight to our main table placed in the middle of the hall.
We had white draping behind us with curtain fairy lights and a rose gold love balloon in the middle. We had a cake table with a cake lifter that said "wanna piece of me" as well as a gift table where our gusts had to put our gifts in an old family suit case. Our guest book was a journal bible where we requested that our guests mark a verse that they found made them stronger, helped them through tough times, kept their spirits up, encouraged their spouse and so on.
The groom and groomsmen wore black suits with white stiching, accompanied with dusty pink ties and black shoes. They each had a different style and textured waist coat.
They rented their suits
I only had a Maid of Honor, She wore a beautiful navy blue wrap infinity dress with a pink glassy necklace.
She got this from Donna, and lovisa
My husbands father is the owner and senior pastor at a church and ofcourse he was our marriage officer
We only had a photographer as that is what the budget allowed.
Copper Fox Photography and assistant Rene from Painted flowers photography were our photographers, Belinda did our engagement shoot as well and when we received our photos we knew she would be doing our wedding photos too.
Nope, unless you count Pintrest as a planning assistant.
My father works at Volvo and managed to organise a Volvo S90 T6 R-design navy blue.
Domino's pizza for our main food
Grandparents for the snacks and drinks
Whisked for the wedding cake
I did it all by myself and sent it out via Watsapp to our guests.
We don't usually dance but my husband watched a few youtube videos and did his own coriography. We learnt to dance a week before the wedding (cutting it close; I know)
