For our honeymoon we decided to explore our beautiful country. we drove up to Johannesburg where Christo competed in the Bi-athlon SA Champs, and from there we spent 10 days on a wonderfull roadtrip back home to Cape Town. we went to Katse Dam in Lesotho, Wildernis, Parys, Swellen dam and a few other small towns.
Dress: My mom made my dress. I am very lucky that I have a very talented mother who was able to create my perfect dress for me. My dress was a lightweight flowing material, with a lace and beaded bodice and an open lace-up back.
Shoes: I got married barefoot, but i did wear a lace sort of fairy shoe that i made myself.
Jewellery: My sister gave me a new pair of earrings for the big day, simple tear drop shaped diamante earrings. My bracelet was my something old and blue - a Swarovski crystal bracelet from my matric dance. My necklace was a simple double string of Swarovski crystals and pearls.
Make-up and hair: Yolandi Wilson did my hair and make-up. I had loose curls with a sting of beads and a waist length veil, my make up was simpel with gold an d a hint of purple.

We got married on a beautiful wine farm on the Bottelary Road called Avalon.
This is not a commercial wedding venue but the forest setting, the whole venue and the staff is so wonderful.
