We were so blessed to have my father-in-law conduct our celebration ceremony. And off course being Port Elizabeth - we had all four seasons in one day! But this worked out perfectly. We had a beach/outside wedding and when it was time for our photo session it was pelting with rain. There went our beach photos (and my curls!). Our photographer took us to nooks and crannies in town which resulted in beautiful vintage/retro photos which we wouldn't have had was it sunny weather.
To our newly built-from-scratch home! We literally moved into our house after the wedding and it was so perfect personalising and prettyfying our "huisie-by-die-see".
I'm quite the barefoot, wild hair kinda girl so I wanted a natural yet classic look. I had the dreamteam and wow did they do a spectacular job. My wedding dress was designed by Johan Wolmarans and it was breathtaking. My make-up was done by Theano Zenios Dowlman and she works magic. I didn't wear any jewellery besides my blue vintage looking earings and my shoes was, well...unique. Blue canvas takkies with bunny ribbon laces. The most comfortable, pratical (and cute) shoes ever!
Our formalities were done the day before and our wedding celebration ceremony was held at the Sea Otters Lodge in Kini Bay. It was a small intimate wedding and our guests were mostly from Port Elizabeth and surrounding areas like Port Alfred and Graaff-Reinet.
Hubby and I go to gym everyday and I had tanning sessions at the Profiles Oliga Spa inside the gym.
My mother-in-law made all our table decorations as well as my flower bouquet. It was gorgeous and fitted the beach theme perfectly.
My husband wore a sand colored cotton three-piece suit, his waistcoat was made by Johan Wolmarans. His shoes were Arthur Jack's from Old Khaki. Our sons wore dark suits and shoes with blue ties.
Our daughter wore a gorgeous blue dress also designed by Johan Wolmarans
As our formalities was done day before the wedding, my father-in-law conducted our celebration ceremony
Our photographer was the amazing, professional and creative Esmerelde Bradley. She is an incredible person, creative artist and simply fantastic.
How fortunate were we that our family assisted in the planning and execution of a perfect day.
The lodge prepared our food, it was a morning wedding so we had sweet and savoury coctails. Our beautiful wedding cake and cupcakes were made by Jennifer Taylor and was deliciously yummy!
Our fabulous wedding invitations were designed and printed by Lynette from Words with Wings.
As it was a morning wedding we had all "our" songs playing in the background while we laughed and celebrated.
