Magical Moments

We planned on getting married outside under trees. But unfortunately it started to rain. It was a blessing in disguise as the rain made everything look like we in a fairytale. Another memorable moment was the first time we were announced as husband and wife. Also the father daughter dance was so special.

The Honeymoon

We did not really have a honeymoon planned. As we both are very easy going and adventurous. We ended up going to the kruger. We went from camp to camp, living very minimalistic and having the best time for a whole week.

My Special Day

My whole idea was to be comfortable. My dress was the first dress I tried on and kept going back to it. It is very fitted style that slightly comes out almost like a mermaid style. It had a semi train as well. It has very soft traces of beads and pearls with a lace overlay. The dress to me is very unique as the straps are of the finest beautiful beads that look like hanging chandeliers. I believe you can look amazing and still be on a budget. The original price of my dress was R28 000 and I got it for R 6000!

I only had one bracelett on that looked similar to the straps. Hanging earrings.

My make up was dramatic regarding my eyes and nude lipstick. I wanted my eyes to be the focus. My hair was very flowy with soft curls to go with the whole fairy tale idea.

My shoes where peeptoe high heels white silk with a square diamond and the end. It was high but extremely comfortable as they strapped around my ankle. Again cheap does not necessarily mean ugly or not good enough. My shoes I got for R100 and the original price was R800.

The Venue

We got married at Galagos Country Estate Cullinan. It was magical. The entire venue from the tables to restrooms were gorgeous! It feels as if you are In a magical place.

Some of our guest did stay over at the venue self which included a buffet breakfast the next morning.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I did not want to stress myself out by having to look a certain way. Of course every bride wants to look good but nobody wants a bridezillion! I stuck to my usual beauty routine of washing my face cleaning and toning.

I ate what I normally did but just in smaller portions. Overall I'm active so nothing major was done to go to gym.

Wedding Elements

Simplicity was key.
Our theme was inspired by the trees and wooded elements. And my flowers was purple rain with little bit of eucalyptus leaves
