Magical Moments

For me the most memorable moment was when my mother gave me away on my wedding day. The emotions that rushed thru me as I walked down the wedding aisle was something I never felt in my life before and is certainly something I will never forget. The tears of heartbreak, happiness & lots of joy ran down my cheeks as I started a new journey & Adventure with the person I love more than anything in this world.

The Honeymoon

Yes me and my hubby had a little but quick honeymoon. I was blown away by the surprise that awaited me on our wedding night. He took me to Jeffrey's Bay to a Suite at The Beach house. On arrival I was swept of my feet to find our beautiful ocean view suite with a bouquet of red rose's, candle light, wine and lindt chocolate's and the smell and sound of the ocean. I did not expecte him to do so much effort. Everyday I was spoiled with amazing breakfast and date nights. Even though it was a quick 3 days it was and amazing honeymoon.

My Special Day

So I went for a semi Pin Up Vintage look for myself and my maid of honour. My wedding dress was a white square strap neckline dress with champagne beadwork and was hired at Wedding Bells in Uitenhange.

Our hair was done in a upstyle with pearl pins with locks hanging down our shoulders done by Hair By Cathy in Despatch.

Our Makeup was done in a semi pin up style by The Beauty Den in Despatch. My Nails was done by my sister and it was plain and simple pink and silver.

I also went for the Something Old, Something new, Something Blue & Something Borrowed. My Jewellery was silver with a Dash of blue and I bought it at Avon. My wedding shoe was a bedazzled silver glitter heel and was the something old it was the same shoe I wore to my matric dance.

I also had another pair of wedding shoe's. It was a semi creamy gold heel that my mother Borrowed me. The same wedding shoe she wore on her wedding day so I could walk down the aisle's knowing I have become a woman. I also made my own garter. And my garter was white, silver & lilac.

The Venue

We had the whole wedding at the Londt Park Squash Club in Port Elizabeth.
The ceremony and the Reception.

We had no guests that stayed over.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

We did our own mother, daughters pamper spa day at home.

Facials, pedicures, manicures, mud masks ect. With lots of cocktails.

Wedding Elements

We didn't do the Big white wedding. We had a very small and intemet wedding. We had a afternoon wedding and the Ceremony was outside. We had a arch draping with white and red hearts hanging from the arch. Our main colour was white with silver, and shades of purple and fairy lights. We had the white King and Queen chairs at the main table. Me and my husband were the only one's seated at the main table. I made Afrikaans table names for my tables at Redline Studio. Our tables and chairs was packed in a U shape. I didn't do the whole draping thing I only did 2 draping backgrounds one at the main table and one at the DJ table. Our wedding decorrater was Jeromey Afrikaner. I did my own wedding flowers, thank you giftes and some of the table decor.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

My husband and the best man went for a semi formal look.
They wore formal shirts with Blue jeans and black formal shoe's. They bought there clothing at Eagle ware.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My Maid of Honour wore a beautiful silk aqua v-neckline dress from Wedding Bells in Uitenhage.

The look was inspired by frozen.

We made use of "Boereliefde Fotografie " they are from Despatch. Anel and her Husband Tiaan captured every beautiful memory on film. I can really recommend their services.

I didn't make use of a photo booth.

I did all the planning myself with the help of my husband & our family & friends.

We used our own cars for wedding transport.
We had our Cherry & Mazda Bakkie along with my mother's Dutsan Go.
We also transported some of our guests too and from the wedding.

Chantel van Vuuren did my Wedding invitations.

I did my own thank you giftes.

The Reception and Entertainment

Believe it or not we never went for dance lessons. I have to admit that I did step on hubbies toes while having our first dance. We shared some crazy laughs and grins while dancing. That is a dance I would never forget. Every time I hear Ed Sheeran's song "Perfect" I remember that special moment between us. Our Vows, The cake cuting and eating, the speeches, the tossing of the flower bouquet and garter tossing. I day I will never forget.

The perfect wedding day.

We did have a Dj and he is Danie for Port Elizabeth.
