The actual wedding day has finally arrived, 10 February 2018! All the hard work, a lot of planning, laughter, tears, stressful moments are all now in the past.
My wedding day was perfect. Everyone tells you, it goes by so fast, so enjoy every moment! They were right.
It is a day that I want to have everyday. It was unbelievably beautiful, God blessed us with rain during the ceremony, during a drought in the Free State, here in Bloemfontein. And of course we planned an outside ceremony...we were all soaked! But I loved every moment of it.
While taking photos, I enjoyed looking in my husband's eyes, that shows me incredibly a lot about his beautiful soul. It sinked in, I just got married and made a lifetime commitment to this wonderful man.
Great memorable moments about everyone's beautiful words and blessings for our future and marriage. Our first dance, that we had dance lessons for (only two weeks before the wedding, lol) was not perfect, but no one knew what we were supposed to do and we enjoyed it so much.
The highlight to me, was the commitment we made that day, in front of all our family and friends, and most of all God.
Yes, we did go on honeymoon! Although it was short, it was VERY sweet!
We went on the MSC boat cruise, that stopped at the Portuguese Islands and Pomene, back to Durban again. It was a 5 day cruise.
I am a very plain, but classical and picky lady...but then again, aren't we all?
I hired my dress from Olivelli Bloemfontein.
Hair was done by Petrie Claasens, from Salon Mary Jane.
Makeup was done by Amy Olden.
Shoes.....I think I am one of the few brides that wore old shoes for my wedding day. It was my "something old". I did not want to take the chance of feet hurting the whole night, because of new shoes. :-)
I am overall health conscious and try to workout at least three times a week. But my husband and I did use a personal trainer, to help us "shape" a month before the wedding...maybe we started to late....uhm...but to plan a wedding makes you loose weight, lol.
I also went for about 8 sessions of sun bed. But only for the wedding.
The groom and groomsmen were dressed in suits, in different shades of grey.
My husband had a navy tie and the groomsmen pink ties that matched the bridesmaids dresses.
The bridesmaids dresses were made by a friends mom. The colour of the dresses were like a baby pink or light peachy...difficult to describe.
Their makeup were done by Simoné Niebuhr from Bloemfontein, Salon Mirra Bella.
Hair was also done by Petrie Claasens from Salon Mary Jane in Bloemfontein.
Ds. Johan Visser from Woodland Hills Church, Bloemfontein. He was amazing and improvised so impressively with the rain that started during the ceremony. He also had his guitar with him and could play worship songs for us, for there were no sound due to the rain. He gave us such a memorable message and created an awesome atmosphere.
a Lot of friends and family! :-)
We did not have a specific wedding transport. We all got dressed at the venue.
The food were prepared by the most awesome people of De OudeKraal Wedding Venue Estate. The guests couldn't stop talking about the amazing food we had.
We had a "dessert room", which was impressive and lovely. Our wedding cake was made by someone private.
We did not had stationery printed.
But the printing of T-shirts were done by just print it in General Dan Pienaar Drive Bloemfontein
We did take dance lessons at Dancesation in Bloemfontein.
Sound was done by a DJ from Sound Bytes in Bloemfontein.
Our lighting was done by Drape.inc in Bloemfontein.
