The biggest highlight of my day was of course walking down the aisle, towards my husband on my dads arm. It’s a moment I think most women dream about but no one can ever prepare you for that moment. I became so calm in that moment and it’s a feeling I will never forget.
We are yet to go on honeymoon but are planning to go in March of 2019. We decided to spend sometime with our family who travelled from Johannesburg instead
I was incredibly blessed to have the most amazing people help me create my look. Biji from Biji - La Maison de Couture made my classic and timeless gown with two different skirts, one for the ceremony and part of the reception and the other to celebrate in later. The wonderful Jenna Clifford kindly allowed me to use some of her magnificent pieces as my jewels for the day and my understated hair and makeup was done by the lovely Kirsten Murphy
We got married at Cavalli Estate in Somerset Wes and our guest stayed in various places in its surrounds
The Cavalli Function Venue is a Green Star rated building conveniently on the R44 highway nestled below the majestic Helderberg Mountain.
Our decor, flowers and planning were all done by the incredibly talented Jade Vollgraaf from Jades Customised events. Jade was a godsend and we had all faith in her. She understood the vision we had for our day and it turned out even better than we had pictured. It was romantic, elegant and classic!
The groom and man of honor had their suits custom made by a tailor in Hong Kong that we recently visited for work and the groomsmen wore suits from Eurosuit
