Magical Moments

There are a multitude of moments and highlights that fill my mind when I think back to our wedding day. From the morning spent with my gorgeous bridesmaids, to my father fetching me to take me to the Ceremony. To the moment I lifted my head and saw my husband waiting for me at the end of the aisle. To the incredible speech my father gave, or the heartfelt message my husband delivered. Or how we did our first dance and being surround by all the love and happiness of our close friends and family, made me feel like I was floating on air.

Every moment of our wedding day was perfection. We couldn't have hoped, wished or dreamed of a more phenomenal day.

The Honeymoon

We only go on honeymoon in May/ June 2019 - we are going on a cruise to Alaska and then are travelling around the USA.

My Special Day

My wedding look was Romantic Boho Elegance, but with a dark twist. I wanted the look to be simple, natural and elegant but with a big fat greek wedding feast atmosphere.

My color palette consisted of black, burgundy, forest green, blush and gold.

I wore the most gorgeous hand beaded two piece dress, that was made into one dress for me. My dress had a high boat neckline, with a scooped back with a scallop trim. My skirt was multiple soft, flowy layers of fabric. My dress was in my mind, the perfect take on a modern traditional wedding dress. As an accompaniment to my dream dress, I wore a handmade cape, with appliqué, which had been hand beaded.

My hair was half up, half down with a white peony as an added detail amongst my messy long curly dark hair. I finished off my look with ear cuff earrings and the engagement ring every girl dreams of and my wedding band.

If I could do my wedding day over, I am ecstatic to say that I wouldn't change a thing and both my husband and I would love to relive each happy, love-filled moment again.

The Venue

We got married in The Tramways Building in Port Elizabeth.

Our guests stayed with family and friends in the city, as well as, at local Bed and Breakfasts.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I didn't have much of a beauty regime, leading up to our wedding.

Athlete Lab assisted me with all my fitness training and nutritional needs, leading up to our wedding.

Wedding Elements

Our decor was a combination of naked wooden tables, black tiffany chairs, black and matte gold cutlery and crockery with burgundy glassware and black napkins. Our decor consisted of Persian carpets, lanterns with candles in different sizes and heights, stacks of fairy lights, a hexagon covered in messy/ big greenery with floral elements highlighting our wedding color palette behind our main table and table runners of messy greenery dotted with candles and flowers along our long feast tables, where our guests were seated.

We had black lounge furniture accompanied by black cocktail tables and chairs dotted throughout our lounge space, where our guests got to relax and socialize after our wedding ceremony.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

My extremely handsome and very suave handsome wore all black. He looked absolutely phenomenal - seeing him waiting for me at the end of the aisle, made my heart want to jump out of my chest he was gorgeous.

The groomsmen, wore white shirts tanned leather bow ties and suspenders with black and white houndstooth trousers and tanned shoes.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

The only requirements for my bridesmaids from me was that they needed to wear black and the dress must be long. Each of them wore a style that they were comfortable in and made them feel, their most authentic selves. Morne Originals made their dresses and I could have hoped for anyone more fabulous than him to design and make my bridesmaids dresses.

My Captured Moments

Our videographer was James from Weddings by James Jones - he was impeccable. Van Bode and Jean Gerber captured every moment of our wedding perfectly.

The Wedding Planner

Yes, I did! This woman is nothing short of a Superhero! She brought my wedding day to reality, as she was the only one who could source the specifics I wanted to finish off each wedding detail I had hoped to deliver to our guests. Function Warehouse is the only place to go!

Wedding Transport

We were blessed to have a Land Rover Velar with our wedding logo as decals on the front doors.

Food & Cake

Our delectable Harvest table, main meal of kings, desert that leaves you wanting to steal your partner's and the most delicious wedding cake - came from only the best in our beautiful city. Lauren from Bocadillos on First! Hands down she runs the best team, is totally hands on and goes above and beyond when it comes to not only replenishing your appetite, but feeding your soul.

Wedding Stationery

The Travelling Designer, designed and came up with my wedding "logo" and theme and Tell Your Tale did all the printing.

The Reception and Entertainment

Our reception was overwhelming happy. People danced and the air was filled with laughter. We had a DJ and he played the best playlist one could hope for at a wedding.
