Magical Moments

A moment with my mom- My mom helping me button up my dress, putting my veil and my shoes on and just spending time with her. i felt so blessed just having her with me and healthy.

The man of the hour- The love of my life meeting me halfway the aisle together. I still cannot explain the feeling walking with him to the alter. He was everything I dreamed of, he just know what blows me completely insane and this day he outdone himself.

Happy Tears- Exchanging vows having no doubt that I will live out these promises every moment got me so emotional and I fell just deeper in love all over again.

Post ceremony Joy- I felt like jumping for joy! Seeing my friends and family so happy, the bridal party having their mini celebration of us saying "I do". I just jumped in my thoughts with my husband.

Walking up the aisle- The Big Exit. I came in as Miss Witbooi, leaving as Mrs Davids, my husband holding me so tight. This is Team A&R. The atmosphere was so tangible with Gods presence. My silent prayer- "Thank You Lord."

Bride with Bridesmaids- I could not wait to have a moment with them just to experience their energies. My beautiful "Moghels" as I call them. We are just soul sisters and each one has a special place in my heart.

Reception-A sense of place. Our guests showed up in numbers, the venue was packed 1500 guests. No one rejected the invite to spend this day with us. Indeed another dream come to pass. We wanted a wedding for the community and indeed it was.

The Honeymoon

Yes. We went to Durban, my favorite place in SA for four days. I heard a little birdie whispering in my ear this was just the first phase of our honeymoon, the second phase is still loading….. And I can’t wait to see where we going, my husband is full of surprises.

My Special Day

My wedding look was elegant just as I dreamed it to be.

Wedding Dress was an inspired Blue by Enzoani, Stunning, sexy & sophisticated and my husband was blown away. Service provider was Whimsical Exclusive Bridal Hire.

Make up and hair was very clear and natural. I didn't want a Tiara but my sister gave me the most beautiful one on my wedding day which rounded off my royal look just perfectly. Looking at the photos I cant thank her enough for going beyond my wish.

Shoes- I was advised that there must be something new, borrowed and old. I decided on my most loved shoes as the something old item because it matched perfectly with my dress and I only wore it once. Also the most comfortable shoe ever.

Lingerie- All white

Accessories- I'm a firm believer that less is more. Only accessories was the Tiara and earrings.

The Venue

We decided to get married on home ground. Hosting 1500 guest was a huge challenge. Luckily Postmansburg has a fully functional showground. We had to erect an 3000sqm A-Frame Marquee tent. In addition to the main reception we had a separate cocktail lounge. Decor and flowers was done by Sopla Events.

We had guest from all over South Africa who stayed at local guest houses.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

Myself and the bridesmaid's went on a 5 day outing that includes dress fittings, a photo shoot and Spa Treatment at the Mangwanani African Spa at Royal Elephant Pretoria. We left for Sun City for a weekend of fun and relaxation where I had and additional beauty treatment at the Gary Player Spa Sun City.

Wedding Elements

Crystal glassware. My flower choice was blue hydrangeas, white orchids and white roses. All white glossy furniture and clear glass chairs was used at church. Tents: 3000 sqm for main reception, Church and cocktail tents +-1000sqm. Stage for performances of Gospel and Jazz festivals Day2.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

Groomsmen wore navy blue suits and the groom a dusty blue suit.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

I chose the color dusty blue as I am so much in love with this color, my only request was long flow dresses with lace detail. I let the girls chose their own designs as I wanted them to be involved in some of my planning as much as possible and most important, I wanted them to be comfortable.
Their dresses were made in Pretoria at The Maiden, this was the best choice ever, my girls looked like a dream come true! I would choose The Maiden over again if I had a choice.
My Maid of honor's design and color was different from the bridesmaids as I wanted her to have a different look. Her dress was made in Kimberley by a family friend of hers. I chose the color silver for her dress and I also let her choose her own design as well.

Our Marriage Officer was Pastor Ghersian Oliphant of Revival Church, Postdene, Postmasburg,
