Magical Moments

Nothing can come close to that feeling of joy, love and overwhelmingness when you walk down the isle with the person that's been your number one man in your life whilst your soon to be hubby is standing on the other end , looking so handsome, waiting infront all teared up when he sees you. That was the best moment of my life. ♡ Sharing such a special and important step in our lives with all our beloved family and friends was the cherry on top. The first kiss as husband and wife, the photos, the first dance, the celebration and dancing, cutting the cake as a partnership and the speeches will forever stay an amazing memory in our hearts.

The Honeymoon

We went on honeymoon the Monday after our wedding where we enjoyed some quality time and celebrations in Summerstrand.

My Special Day

Since the day I got engaged, I knew exactly the look and style I wanted to go for. Venessa, owner and designer, from Besters Bridal Boutique designed a 3 layer of lace wedding dress. We went with a open back, long sleeves, open cut at the front / cleavage area and the overall mermaid snit style to compliment my curves. My hair was done by Jackie, Knysna Heads & Nailbar, she formed a beautiful, soft and elegant look styling all my hair together in a twisted bun. My nails was done by Tigo-Lee from Ladida Salon in Plett. We went for a blush pink gel overlay with tips. I manage to find the perfect nude colour heals from Edgars that went so beautifully with my off white wedding dress. Rose gold Jewellery was bought from American Swiss. All together this created the perfect colour scheme and elegant syle which I will be forever greatful for, for all the service providers that played such a big role in making me feel and look beautiful on my special day. ♡

The Venue

Our wedding ceremony and reception was at the very stunning farm venue in Rheenendal, Quinta da Monthana. Our guests booked into holiday rentals all over in the garden route.

Wedding Elements

From the start of our planning, both my husband and myself decided that we wanted to make it comfortable, plain and sweet for our guests, but yet very modern and stylish.

Our three main colours were blush pink, white and gold.
With the flower centre pieces we brought in alot of greenery to break the white decor.

Our flowers were all done by Flowers for You. We went with carnations, white and pink roses, christmas roses, white stems, lisianthus, eucalyptus, white veronicas and plumosa flowers.

Our decor and furniture items were rented from ISP Group George.

We had a back drop behind our groom and bride table, which consisted out of white draping and touches of fairy lights which created the soft and romantic atmosphere. This was done by the amazing Mandy from Sound & Events.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The handsome groom wore a navy blue suit, with a slim fit white long sleeve shirt complimenting it off with a blush pink long tie and a beautiful white rose buttonhole. With that he wore brown pointer shoes, a brown leather belt and watch to break the navy colour.

The Groomsmen wore Navy blue suit pants which were slim fit, navy blue long ties with their white long sleeve shirts complimenting it off with brown belts and brown pointer shoes. Their buttonholes were a pink chinese rose.

All the above was purchased at our local Markhams store.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My two stunning bridesmaids wore blush pink wrapp dresses which complimented them so nicely. My wedding dress designer came up with this soft yet modern look for the ladies. Best of all, on their first fitting they loved it!

Marriage Officer

We had the very best, Richard Meyer from the Rock Church. We had a fabulous marraige advice class with him prior the wedding where he runs through very important questions & scenarios. The day of marrying us, his message was powerful, yet short and sweet.

My Captured Moments

We found Bonita Photography on facebook. We went through her photo albums and absolutely loved her way of capturing special moments. She had this way of making you feel at ease and comfortable infront of the lense which ended up in the most amazing wedding photos.

The Wedding Planner

Myself & my loving husband, Christo did all the planning up til the wedding day. For the day of the wedding we had Larindie and her daughter, from Lanel events just doing the last bit of their magic, eye to detail changes, setting up the flowers on the arch and creating a lovely cheese & wine area for the canape's. They also created the ceremony area exactly the way I had in mind. It all came together so beautifully.

Wedding Transport

I was transported by a family friend, uncle Dries in his gorgeous gold colour Ford Everest. This was such a great choice as to having to have sat from Knysna to Rheenendal in it, comfortably with my dress and long veil.

Food & Cake

Our food was catered by Annelise & Thinus with so much love - you could actually taste it! They made the best 'boere kos' and all our favourites.

Our desert table was done by Eben & Zuleika. They spoiled us and all our guests with the most delicious strawberry cheesecakes, garnish off with a chocolate dipped strawberry. They also made the good old time favourite 'malva poeding' served with vanilla ice cream.

Our three layered wedding cake was baked by well known Knysna Pastry chef, Charlene. She had us indulging in a moist yummy chocolate and vanilla fondant cake.
