Magical Moments

The highlight of my day was the ceremony. I walked down the Isle while the violinist played A thousand years by Christina Perry. We said our vows perfectly. The Bible scripture was beautiful. My cousin sang can't help falling in love with you, the crazy rich Asians version. Everything was perfect and just how I envisioned it to be. The Best part was that most of our guest could attend our special day even though it was on a random Wednesday. Iastly I also loved the fact that we nailed our first dance!

The Honeymoon

We decided to reschedule our honeymoon. Save up and do a Euro Trip late 2019

My Special Day

I always wanted a dress with lace and sleeves but never imagined finding the perfect dress on my first fitting. I got my dress at Calegra Bridal house. Lace top with sleeves and the bottom was raw silk. I hired a 3m veil with lace edging to give it a Princess look. My make up and Hair was done by Blush hair and Make up by Alicia Spamer. My hair was up with fresh flowers. I did not want the normal Bridal look and opted for glitter eyes with lots of glow. I Love Florals and therefore bought floral heels from Foshini just to be diffirent. I got a block heel so it was comfortable too . Jewelery, I was very minimalistic. No necklace or bracelet due to the lace and sleeves, however for my something borrowed I wore my aunt's wedding pearl earings (from 19 years ago!) . For my something blue I got a blue garther. Dressing gowns were from One Boutique Store. I had on white with lace trimming and the girls peach floral gowns

The Venue

We got married at Marlinique Estate, Simondium. The venue did not have accomodation, however my guests and family stayed over at the Simondium Country Lodge down the road from the venue

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I tried to drink as much water as possible and drink less alcohol so my skin could look good. My lashes were done by Kauthar Suker a family friend. Blonde Highlights and Botox treatment a week before by Abi's hair Salon. Mani, pedi and blow dry by Sorbet Dry Bar Tygervalley 2 days before the wedding. Exercise.... None!

Wedding Elements

The wedding colours were peach, coral and rose gold.
We had a world theme wedding. Table Names were cities across the country we hope to visit one day. Table numbers were made by the hashtag shop.
Table decor. Naked wooden tables with Rose Gold sequin table runners. In the middle of the table was a rose gold flower stand on a round mirror. We used plain glass underates. Napkins half peach and half floral. Goods were hired from Grand Styled Hiring, Skye Events and Little chick party shoppe

We rented lawn games from little chick party shoppe to entertain our guest during the canape time slot
Most indoor and outdoor furniture were included in the venue package, which saved us alot of costs

Flowers were done by a family friend and Skye Events. Coral Roses, baby's breath and lots of greenery

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The Groom wore a tailor made Grey three piece suit with a blue tie. The groomsman wore navy chino's, white shirts with floral ties. Brown shoes and belts. Shirt, belt and chino's from Mr Price. Shoes from Panther.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My Bridesmaids wore long flowy dresses with gold shoes and flower crowns. Dresses were very elegant and the flower crowns gave it a bit of a boho look. We got the dresses at Truworths

Marriage Officer

Our marriage officer ID from our church. However the ceremony was performed by a close relative Winston Solomon who knew us therefore made it very personal. It was beautiful!

My Captured Moments

Tanya Gomez Photography captured our day. She did our pre wedding shoot too as well as the welcome board and the seating chart. We did not do a photobooth but but opted for something diffirent instead. We got Martinus to do his famous caricatures. The guest loved it!

The Wedding Planner

I planned most of the wedding myself. I got Skye Events a month before the wedding to execute my vision and to do the last hiring, set up and coordination on the day. The venue also provided a venue manager for on the day, very helpful

Wedding Transport

We used family cars to save costs here because everything was basically at one venue and it would not have made financial sense to hire cars. A White and Black BMW

Food & Cake

Food was prepared by the venue
World theme Cake by Tessa's Bakery

Wedding Stationery

We did most of it ourselves. This is one early we wanted to save cost on and decided to take a more digital route.
Save the date digital template - canva
Wedding website - wix.com. We used the pictures from our pre wedding shoot.
Menu's - I designed a world theme menu on Word and printed on nice paper
Digital Order of events - canva
Welcome Board and world theme seating chart - TANYA Gomez photography. These canvases we can use in our home again.
Perspex Table Numbers Hashtag shop

The Reception and Entertainment

DJ and Sound was done by Sip Sound Entertainment. We opted not to have a band to save costs. Our friend Quinton Solly gave us 1 dance lessions for our first dance. We were supposed to practice afterwards but had no time. So we just winged it on the day! Luckily we jazzed and did nothing extreme.
Song when entering the hall: Suited for each other by Shikana
First dance song. Meant to be by TLC.
