Magical Moments

The highlight of my day was seeing my husband cry when he saw me walking down the isle im sure we had everyone in tears!!!! The second highlight was when we said our vows, the way he looked at me was a look i could never forget! I fell inlove with my husband for the millionth time there and then! Every moment of our wedding day went as planned. It was so magical. I waited nine years to marry the love of my life and it was the best day of our lives!!

The Honeymoon

We did not go on honeymoon immediately. We had a mini honeymoon after Christmas to Knysna, it was great!

My Special Day

So the look i went for was a very soft natural look. I wanted minimal make-up and minimal bling on my dress but i still wanted something classy.
My hair was done by a lady named Tashriqua she is the owner of Mane Studio in Port Elizabeth. My hair was done by Mishqa Amod, she is one of the best make-up artists in Port Elizabeth, her make-up lasted all day and all night i felt like a real princess!i chose my own dress, this i received from a gift i won initially well part of a voucher from Bridal Flair in Port Elizabeth as well. It was a trumpet style ivory dress with simple intricate embroidery on top. It was stunning! My accessories i chose myself, i bought those from Lovisa, very small and dainty jewellery along with my headpiece crown which was also bought from Lovisa.

The Venue

I got married at The Grand Hotel in Port Elizabeth, Central. My husband and i stayed there for the night.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I drank plenty of water every single day. I literally drink 3 litres of water daily. I tried gymning every day during weekdays and atleast once on a weekend. I took hair, skin and nail tablets from vital for women. I also made sure i got enough sleep. I skipped the facials but used tea tree oil for tiny blotches on my skin, this i received from The Body Shop, it worked like a bomb! To ensure my skin was well hydrated, i used a few peel-off facemasks from clicks as well as my clinique moisturiser and i skipped the makeup and foundation a few days before my wedding.

Wedding Elements

For my decor i used a company called wise hire but basically we hired most of our things from her and got friends to help with set-up. I think my theme of wedding was elegant. I love proteas so that was part of my table with many candles. It was between a whimsicle and rustic look but more classy I'd say. I had nude runners on my wooden tables with pinks and nude and white bunches of flowers as well as a candelabra on each table. The main table had a green and white flower runner with the candelabra along with a flower and fairylight backdrop. It looked magical.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The groom wore a charcoal grey suite which he bought from Delbros in Port Elizabeth. The groomsmen wore suites from Peris suite hire.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

The bridesmaids wore a nude/pink dress. They both had their dresses customized according to their own style. They used the same material and the same colours. They both went for similar dresses.

Marriage Officer

It was a Deacon from our church at San Francesco Catholic Church, his name is Lawrence.

My Captured Moments

Our photographers were Donna Van der Watt and Karin Ferreira. Donna did most of our photos from the church ceremony and the couple shoots. She was so bubbly and vibey. We had many coffee dates leading up to the wedding which made us so comfortable to take such intimate photos. She was amazing.

The Wedding Planner

My husband and i planned our own wedding along with our bridal party and family members. It went well!

Wedding Transport

Our groomsmen arranged for a few family members to cart us around in some pretty fancy cars!

Food & Cake

The food was prepared by the chef from the Grand Hotel. We also had a seperate halaal caterer from Brookes Hill hotel in summerstrand.
The wedding cake was made by ria-lees coffee shop.

Wedding Stationery

My sister in law actually works in media, she designed and printed them for us. I sent her ideas of what i liked.

The Reception and Entertainment

Our reception was amazing. We hadn't practiced any dancing although we had our parents and bridal party walk in to the reception with one of our favourite dance songs, it's called Collide by Lady Zamar, and we chose our own Dj, his name is Hylon. He was great!
