Tell us all about the proposal.

Sooo on the 08th of September 2017, Clinton Pillay created this amazing, most special day for me, fairy tale like and almost unreal. He took me on a helicopter ride and romantic picnic for two on a secluded mountain top. We also did a couple photo-shoot overlooking the gorgeous dam and as I turned around with rose petals in my hand, there he was on one knee...Amazed and speechless I stood but ofcourse I said yes and he made me his WIFEY to be... Thank you to my "Mr Grey" for the most precious memory yet...

Magical Moments

The entire day was beyond my expectations. I woke up with flutterbies and the biggest smile on my face. My beautiful sister had done a minishoot for me in my most natural form so we could capture the feelings of anticipation before. I remember seeing my makeup for the first time and feeling so overwhelmed. The weather forecast showed rain but the My God had me covered, the most radiant sunshine and it cooled down beautifully in the afternoon for our pictures. I remember all the lil details from my stunning bridesmaids and bouquets to the personalised name tags. About three calmettes down , it was time to walk down the aisle. Filled with the most flutterbies ever, I could not contain my emotions and did mess my makeup up alil. seeing my parents, my brothers, my babygirl and family standing together was the greatest blessing. The most memorable moment however was looking into my beloved husbands watery eyes , listening to him saying his vows to me, I knew that there and then this was my fairytale, long awaited and oh so special. The day proceeded to us releasing doves which was absolutely fun, taking some cool photographs with my Amazing photographer Gerald from Stellanova photography. the moment we walked in as MR and MRS Pillay into our reception, i remember feeling like a shy lil girl. Our first dance, how hard we tried to make that perfect as shy as we both were. His speech another highlight where besides the sweet words he said , he actually spoke as he is naturally so shy. The décor by lifestyle was amazing. We ended our night with a sparkler send off which was also so so exciting. My absolute fairytale.

The Honeymoon

Nope unfortunately we could not go on honeymoon cause we invested all of our savings into the wedding. We do hope to go in the future.

My Special Day

My wedding look was very simple. I wanted to be a simple bride with a very long veil . My dress was the best of both worlds. The big princess tulle which was a detachable skirt that I removed for my reception unveiling a stunning fitted dress. My dress was beautiful from Jasmins Bridal. I wore a very simple shoe with bling. I only wore tear drop earing and a bracelet as I had this queen tiara which was filled with flower crystals which definitely made me feel like a queen. My makeup was done by the infamous Nadia Motala, we went for that classic elegant bride look. I wore a tulle and bling garter which was really pretty.

The Venue

I got married at Maroupi Wedding Venue in uMhlali. Most of my family was from out of town so they did book accommodation in Durban. My family and I did stay at the wedding venue guest house.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

Em, I did go for teeth whitening and various skin treatments to get my skin as clear as possible. My dentist was DR Sankaran Naidoo and associates. My skin care and threading was taken care off by Prestige beauty and Nadia Motala

Wedding Elements

My Décor was done by Lifestyle décor. Cameron did amazing job. It was just as dreamy as i had imagined it would be. My colours were blush pink and rose gold. We had a combination of long and round tables. The long tables were rustic with long candle stands, greenery and a rose gold runner contrasting the wooden table. The round tables were covered in blush pink petal table clothes and huge flowers as the centre piece. I had the cutest guest books with one being a fingerprint tree and the other being a wooden heart frame in which lil hearts with messages were kept in. The outside was really pretty with rustic décor and a really fancy couch placed in the middle of the grass with that modern contrast. We also had a huge white flower heart which our guests loved for pictures. We also had our initials in grass letters that were 1.2meters high. All our wedding stationery was done by Shindig event décor and design. They did an amazing job, my favourite was the rose gold foiled personalized name tags.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

My handsome groom wore a white and black classic tux that was purchased from Eurosuit umhlanga. All his groomsmen hired their black tuxedos from Eurosuit as well. They wore a blush pink lapel flower to match my bridemaids.
