Magical Moments

My favourite highlight was Naeems speech to me and how he was shaking as he read it, I just reached out and held his hand.
The letters we exchanged that morning... this was the absolute best part because writing poems and letters to each other has always been our thing. Something special that we share.
Also seeing all of the hard work pay off and come together so beautifully.
The rain because we consider rain a blessing.
The surprise dedication and the dance thereafter.
Our beautiful cake
Doing the traditional ceremony before the end.
I could not have asked for a better send off from my wonderful parents.

The Honeymoon

Not yet. Planning for April Insha-Allah

My Special Day

Words can't describe just how blessed our wedding weekend was. Alghamdulillah, every moment will be cherished. We are obsessively grateful, for every helping hand, for each guest and the efforts put in.
My dress was breathtakingly beautiful. A satin trumpet shaped bottom with a lace bodice. Volume sheer sleeves gathered to a long lace cuff. My veil had a lace front and my hair was curled. My shoes!! My gorgeous shoes! A sharp point toe with a glitter block heel and crystal embellishments. My makeup was shades of pink and orange. I wore silver tone, drop design diamante embellished earrings.
I had Trendsetters for hair and makeup.
Veil done by us.
My stunning gown by Cynthia Allie.
Shoes and Earrings by ASOS

The Venue

My Bridal Beauty Regime

Lots of water.
Manicure, pedicure and facial all done at Sorbet, Clearwater Malll.

Wedding Elements

For our decor, we had a bit of a rustic theme going. Everything was done by us. Table decor had sliced barks of a tree covered in gold glitter on the top, a black lantern filled with pink, white and orange flowers and some greenery as well as a black candle holder with a white laced candle. Fairy lights as our backdrop with white draping as well as lights across the hall.
We had a few pallets with messages on. Naeem and I also made a doughnut wall with our names on as well as a cute phrase.
My bouquet was made up of a big white protea, white stocks and light pink wax. My bridesmaids had pink proteas.
Flowers bought at MultiFlora.
Wooden words for doughnut wall from Laser Creations.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

Naeem wore a beige suit with blue fine stripes. A navy blue bowtie with a light pink faintly patterned shirt.
Our groomsmen wore navy blue shirts with dark and light pink polka dots. A pink bowtie. Beige chinos with dark brown belts and shoes.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My bridesmaids looked lovely. I wanted jumpsuits instead of the normal dresses.
Rocking tailor made jumpsuits in a magenta pink with mesh sleeves. 2 of the girls had collars and a cuff and the other 3 had sweetheart necklines with a mesh top.
They wore a navy blue with pink floral detail pointy toe midi heel sling back.
For accessories they had silver chains, silver t-bar diamante earrings with a diamante hair piece on a head of curls.
Shoes from Legit.
Hair piece from Oriental Plaza.

The Wedding Planner

My mother and I planned it. Even though it was strenuous at times as well as busy, we both enjoy planning, events and the little details so we would not have had anyone else do it.

Wedding Transport

I had my family, Naeems family and our bridal party stay over so no transport was needed except to get to the venue of course.

Food & Cake

All our food was prepared by my parents, my mother in law and a few of my aunts.
For starters we had samoosas and pies as well as welcome drinks.
For mains we had curry and rice. Mince lasagne as well as veggie lasagne. Chicken drumsticks and steak slices. Salads and butternut.
For dessert we had choc cupcakes with choc icing and ganache. Vanilla cupcakes with vanilla icing. Oreo, cheesecake and pineapple crush desserts. Glazed doughnuts. Biscuits and a popcorn bar.
Wedding cake was a 3 tier square cake. With the top tier 1cm off the side and writing on the middle tier.
Parents are Ismail and Safiya Marince.
Aunts are Veronica Lodewyk, Loretta Holmes, Sharifa Benjamin and Evelyn Lawrence.
Mother in law is Tiziana Pereira.

For dessert, we had my neighbour Saabiera, make most.

The Reception and Entertainment

My reception was lovely and so special. I had my father walk me in. Heartfelt speeches and then food, really delicious food. A surprise dedication on Kofifi fm. A traditional part where the hajjies take me to greet everyone, that was amazing.
