We went to a beautiful game reserve called Lalibela just round the corner from Port Elizabeth.
Then we had a family-moon with our fur baby Mimi in Knysna.
I bought my wedding dress online from China (risky I know but it was perfect). I had it altered to fit me better and my mother-in-law and I chose the fabric to put the sleeves on and the lace pieces to match the veil which she made herself.
Iriz Gomez did our make up and I love all the looks she created for each of us.
Neuvo did our hair.
We got married at Chicky's yard and it was perfect- filled with fairy lights and wooden decor.
Groom looked magnificent in all black (I didn't know what he was wearing until the wedding day) and the groomsman wore chinos and a white shirt with custom made brown leather braces that had our initials and wedding date engraved on the back.
I initially ordered my bridesmaid dresses from a UK store months before the wedding but they were held up at customs and never arrived unfortunately (they were grey) so my maid of honour and I set off shopping to find new dresses and found them in the oddest of places and managed to get all six dresses (navy) for less than what dinner for one costs.

My maid of Honour <3
Our food was prepared by Chicky's yard- we served Chinese in a Chinese takeaway box with chopsticks. Each box had a sticker saying "Thank you for joining us, marriage is working together like chopsticks".
For starters- each guest got a bamboo boat with a variety of food in it- butternut balls, vegetable spring roll etc.
We also had a bread board with balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
Desert was red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing and our cake was a baked cheese cake.
We designed and printed all our own signs and labels for the wine.
