The whole day was just magical. From the moment we woke up in the morning, to the moment we closed our eyes that night, it was what we had dreamed of for a year and a half.
It was predicted to rain on our wedding day, but instead, we woke up to the most picture-perfect sunrise.
The rain pit-pattered only as we said our vows to each other, and after we were announced Mr and Mrs, a golden stream of sunlight beamed from the clouds above us, gently kissing the vineyards that surrounded us and our guests.
We shared a delicious feast with our nearest friends and family (some of which had traveled from far)- our menu included a satisfying harvest table filled with cheeses, nuts, biltong, taco and bunny-chow bars. Mains consisted of Norwegian salmon, tender rib-eye steak, and delicious sides; and we ended with a Paul's Homemade ice-cream bar for dessert.
We danced the night away in our hall covered in fairy lights, candles, and extravagant floral arrangements.
The memories which we created on this day will last a lifetime and be shared with family for years to come!
We didn't go on honeymoon straight after our wedding due to work commitments. But Sean did surprise me the day after our wedding with tickets to Franshoek for a few days. We had an incredible time visiting all our favourite wine farms, and feasting at some of the prestigious restaurants the area has to offer.
My dream honeymoon destination has always been the Maldives, and Sean recently surprised me with tickets to the Maldives as our "official" honeymoon - we cant wait!
