Magical Moments

When I got dressed I asked everyone to please leave the room. I got fully dressed and when I was finished I called them all back in and the looks on their faces is something I will always remember. My little sister looked at me, smiled and said "You look like a princess". My mother and mother-in-law was in tears.

I will also remember our vows and how much we laughed that day.
I absolutely loved our First Dance together as Husband and Wife. I stressed that it will not come out as it should but it was in the end the best I ever felt while dancing.

I never felt that beautiful in my life.

My Special Day

My wedding dress was a princess, ballgown type of dress, it had a lace bodice with short shoulder sleeves. The back was half open but was tied up with thick ribbon.
The dress was made by: Tasjha's Designs

My make-up was done by a family friend: Leani Theron
It was a medium to dark smokey eyed look.

My hair was done by: Gideon Bouwer
It was half-up, half-down and curled.

My shoes was Red Cowboy Boots which I bought at Shoe Empire in Klerksdorp.
Lingerie was white and lacy and I bought it at Edgars.
Jewellery was borrowed from my Aunt: Jolanda Smit

The Venue

We got married at Lost Treasure Centre in Stilfontein. The ceremony and reception both happened on the premises of Lost Treasure Centre.
Youla Sousa and her team delivered a very outstanding service.
We were very happy with the way they treated us and they were always eager to help and make my wedding day the fairy tale that I wanted it to be.

Most of my guests were close enough to travel home after the wedding but those who came from far slept at our families.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

A few months before my wedding I started to eat more healthier. I made my own face and body scrub with products I had at home and would do a whole treatment once a week.

Wedding Elements

My wedding was a rustic themed wedding with the following colours: Burgundy, Gold, Dusty Pink, Green and Brown.
Flowers, furniture and decor was supplied by Youla Sousa from Lost Treasure Centre. The signature decor was made by either myself or the team from XQZT Creations. XQZT Creations made our Names for our table, our guestbook and the guests gifts. Each of our guests received a keyring made of wood engraved with their names on.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The groom did not want any groomsmen.

The groom weared a Light Brown Chino with a Burgundy Button up Shirt which we bought at Edgars.
He also wore a light and dark brown ombre set of shoes which we also bought at Edgars.
He wore suspenders and a light golden tie.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

The bridesmaids wore dresses that I picked out for them.
They wore dusty pink flowy dresses with a rough lace bodice.

my Flower girl wore a white dress with gold glitter spots.

Marriage Officer

Our marriage officer was our Pastor, Michiel Erasmus, from the Lede in Christus Church.

My Captured Moments

Dana Pretorius from Fire Wagon Media was our Photgrapher and Videographer. He made both of us feel important and special. He went all out and gave absolutely his best and more. We had a custom photobooth. I made the backdrop of the photobooth myself. Our guests used their own phones and our props to take funny photos etc.

The Wedding Planner

I did not have a planner. I planned my whole wedding myself. I made the invitations, I made the table arrangements and the signature decor for that, I made our photobooth backdrop.

Wedding Transport

Our wedding transport was a Ford Mustang grey in colour.
My driver was Ferdie Smit, the previous manager of the Service Department of Daly Ford Klerksdorp.
Andrew Daly, the owner of the whole Daly Motorgroup in Klerksdorp and Potchefstroom gave permission for us to use the Mustang as our Wedding Transport.

Food & Cake

The food was made by the staff of Lost Treasure Centre and a family friend made our wedding cake.

Wedding Stationery

XQZT Creations made our Bride and Groom table stationary as well as the guests gifts and the brooches that the main family members wore.

The Reception and Entertainment

We did not take dance lessons, my husband do not like dancing at all, but at home we practiced it a few times and honestly I stressed about the dance but in the end it turned out exactly as it should be....

Our DJ was a friend of my Husband and he coordinated everything perfectly. He also supplied the smoke machine and the several colored lights.
