Obviously the I DO was the best part, but the most memorable moment was when I was told that a piece of my late father's pj's was knitted to the inside of my dress. My father passed away 6 moths before my wedding which broke my heart into a million pieces. Seeing his pj's knitted to the inside of my dress was so shocking, I immediately started crying and felt that he was part of my entire wedding day and he experienced every minute I had in my dress with me.
Oh yes definitely, we went to the most romantic place in the world..can you guess where that is? ITALY!! My husband and I had a 9 day trip to Rome, Florence and lastly Venice. Which was amazing!
Our theme was enchanted forest.. a real fairy tale. My dress from Sposabella Bridal Gowns (Durban) was slim and tight with an open back. My hair was curled to the side and slightly up. I had shiny champagne colour shoes and I kept my jewelry to a limit. My mother gave me something old..a blue and silver diamond bracelet and I had teardrop earrings. My makeup was slightly darker than natural and I had babies breath in my hair along with a small crown. I got this awesome stick on bra from Bride & Co due to my back being open and due to the fact that my dress was tight, I knew I had to get seamless panties which worked perfectly.

Our Venue was Haycroft Farm in Howick..in the forest. There is a back up chapel as well in case of bad weather..But we were lucky. It was a beautiful day. My guest did stay over as the venue provides accommodation.
Nothing special... Well nothing can be more special than family and friends spoiling you by taking matters into their own hands. My husband was also treated with a manicure.
WOW... where do I start to describe to you how beautiful it was. Our theme was enchanted forest, the reception was in a shed, almost like an old horse shed. We had Wimbledon chairs and wooden tables, mink runners and purple fairy lights in a vase which was placed on wooden round discs, the table were further decorated with a bit of branches with white fairy lights and butterflies and with salmon, white, green and purple flowers. The roof was also full of twigs and fairy lights and the entire room had big blue mood lights..which gave it the real fairy tale atmosphere. Guests were treated with small love potion bottles,some filled with Po10c and and others with bubblegum tequila.. we also added edible glitter to give it a bit of a shine. Of course the kids had other potions like sleeping potion, invisibility potion, mermaids tears and it was filled with water flavored drops. I fell in love with antique under plates we saw at Hamblins Catering in Pietermaritzburg, it was perfect for our theme. Most of the table decor came all the way from Pretoria as my uncle who was my wedding coordinator resides in Pretoria.
The groom had a beautiful blue suit, a white shirt, blue suspenders, brown belt and shoes all from Euro Suit and best of all...he had Batman cuff-links from The Wedding Store in Durban. The groomsman all had a white shirt and black suit pants with purple suspenders and bow ties.
Oh I love this part.. I found a place in Pretoria who makes beautiful bridesmaid dresses, Gelique Couture. I got this fairy type infinity dress made in a light plum purple. They're dresses were so successful that my friend asked them to design her dresses as well.

Michelle V Photography, for a really good price the 9 hour package included an engagement shoot, the wedding shoot, 2 photographers for the day, a disc/flash with all edited and unedited photos and a coffee table album. They were so excited about the wedding and had so much fun that Michelle decided to stay an hour longer to capture more perfect moments. She said that there is no way that she is leaving the wedding before we get a photo in the forest at night..and we did. we went out in the dark and she took the most beautiful photos of us in the forest at night. I had no transport as it wasn't necessary, everything was happening on the venue Haycroft Farm..I spend the night before the wedding in the bridal room and my husband and the groomsmen where in the grooms room. I walked into the forest.
We had no wedding cake, we can thank Hamblin's Catering in Pieteermaritzburg for the delicious meals they prepared.
The Print House in Durban..They did a great job.
The party was great.. I wish the night were a bit longer as we wanted to dance and dance and dance... We had a DJ from Nightlife Productions. It is a Pretoria based company who has DJ's all over SA, we arrange for the Durban DJ to do our wedding but unfortunately the Durban DJ had an emergency and could not assist us, so the owner of Nightlife Productions decided to help us and he came all the way from Pretoria to do our special day..and boy did we love his music and service. Definitely worth it. We all had such a good time, even the DJ joined our after party at the stables (accommodation) provided by the venue.
