I woke up on the morning of my wedding day with a calmness that could have only come from God as I was so stressed in the last few weeks leading up to the wedding. My bridesmaids and myself had a lovely breakfast on a terrace overlooking a green pasture. The most precious gift bestowed upon us on our wedding day was the rain down pour during breakfast and I just knew in my heart this was God's blessing for our marriage and the ultimate wedding gift from above.
The most memorable moment for me was walking down the isle towards Gerhard and realizing that I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend or as I call him "My aardse maaitjie"
We went to the beautiful Mauritius and stayed at Hotel Beachcomber Victoria (in the newly built adult wing) and enjoyed their all inclusive package. Gorgeous beaches, crystal clear water, pina colada's for breakfast, lunch and dinner! It felt like a fairytale and met some fellow South African honeymooners as well
I wanted to go for a soft and natural look and feel for my make-up. I found pictures on Pinterest for my hair and make-up ideas and Odette from Odette Will Hair and make-overs and Jolanda Bedeker from JB Make-up Emporium really captured the ideas perfectly.
My husband bought my jewelry two days before the wedding at Lovisa as I just could not find what I was I looking for in the weeks before the wedding
I actually had two pairs of shoes, both my heels and my flats I bought from Foschini
My rose gold hair piece was also bought at Lovisa
We got married at IMPERFECT PERFECTION just outside Pretoria out on the Lynnwood Road. Our guests did not sleep over
I used Isabella Garcia for my skin routine each day, they have a great face wash, toner, scrub and moisturizers for the morning and evenings.
A week before the wedding my skin was not in a good condition due to the stress but my friend Danielle (she has her own spa at home in Faerie Glen) helped me out with a light treatment and facial, which was just what my skin needed
I exercised by going for jogs after work in the evenings
So our decor was just stunning. Our colors was navy, burgandy and rose gold. We used Love & Grace for our flowers and Decor and Hester really did not hold back. We had draped leaves hanging from beams over the tables, rose gold hoola hoops with flower details, flower center pieces and rose gold underplates with navy serviettes, thomas edison light bulbs, a floor sticker on the dance floor, fairy lights on the deck outside, flower bunches hanging upside down in the chapel, lots of candles for a romantic atmosphere, the decor and flowers just looked like something out of a magazine
The groomsmen wore Chino pants, white shirts, burgandy suspenders and boutonnieres made by Love and Grace.
Gerhard made his suit at Reliance tailors. It was navy blue, he also had an under jacket and burgandy tie, brown shoes and belt. It suited him perfectly and he looked so handsome
We bought the bridesmaids dresses from Bride & co. It was Rose gold and suited the wedding colors perfectly.

Our photographer was Duck Soup Productions, Eugene and his team really captured our special moments beautifully, we also used a company called Hello Photobooth which was a lot of fun for the guests and we received a copy of every photo taken which we used as our Register book and guests wrote messages of love on the back of the photo strips

Imperfect Perfection assigned Lene (co-owner of Imperfect Perfection) to us and she helped us with every single aspect of our wedding planning journey, I do not know what we would have done without her and she is just such a calm person, on the day of the wedding Noleen (owner) also joined to help where she could and they assigned a designated waiter to me with a walkie talkie to care for my every need, I felt like a queen
Imperfect Perfection did the catering as well including our wedding cake which was a naked cake decorated with flowers and a laser cut cake topper wit our initials
Our reception was at Imperfect Perfection and absolutely breathtaking when you walked in, it was decorated and almost looked forest like. Duck Soup Productions was our DJ and they provided the lighting. Gerhard and I practiced our wedding dance the night before the wedding, luckily it worked out perfectly
