Magical Moments

As my husband to be, at that stage, stood with his back towards me, I had the craziest butterflies all inside of my body, shivered like crazy, so excited to see his face when he turns around. And WOW what a moment! He looked at me like if it was his first look ever, like that love at first sight look. I could see in his eyes that his heart is having a party inside his body. He looked so happy and lucky…
My memorable part was that we had a flawless wedding. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING went wrong.

The Honeymoon

OOO our Honeymoon …. I waited for 5 months to know where we are going. All our friends teased me with locations like going oversea and they said Robben Island is also over THE sea. We had so much fun with the non-knowing. I only found out that we are going to Mauritius when we checked in at OR Thambo Airport. I was so excited, I yelled out JIPEE we are leaving for our honeymoon!!

My Special Day

My wedding look and all that comes along with it was a casual, smart but also halfway classy look.
I found my dress at THE BRIDAL HOUSE, Gift Acres Shopping Centre. I changed a few details on the dress to have my dream wedding dress. Lena and her team did their outmost best for me.
My hair and makeup was done by StyleGuru SA. Hair perfectly done my Sunet Vermaak and makeup done by my niece Maret Oosthuizen.
The accessories, earrings, necklace and underwear was sponsored by my lovely mother. She bought it from American Swiss and Edgars.
My diamond shoes I bought on Spree, the online shopping site. They took only 2 days for delivery. So amazed by their services.

The Venue

We got married at Zambezi Point, Montana, Pretoria. We made use of their Bush Wedding Chapel and their Africa Boma as reception area. We got married at 18:00 and I can really say that the fairy lights in the Bush made our evening more special.
Our guest stayed over at Faircity Roodevallei Hotel. We all had a wonderful breakfast together the next morning before we left for the airport.
Our honeymoon suite was at Kievits Kroon Hotel.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I'm a plain jane kind of person, so we did not do anything out of the odinary. Treated the skin as normal and enjoyed counting off the days.

Wedding Elements

As we enjoyed a bush feeling wedding with a huge boma fire in the centre of the open-air area, we decided to have lanterns on our tables with rock roses and small candles. We also had hessian runners over our tables to break the off-white linen. Our tables were set under the large lapa area. All fitted perfectly and we had so much fun on the dance floor. The venue had free craft beer for the men and also a free coffee machine for the ladies not liking beer that much ….

My Groom And His Groomsmen

They decided to wear black suite with orange ties. The groom had a white collar shirt whilst the best men had their black shirts on. Shoes shined and they looked adorable. My dearest husband had his cufflings on that we had for so many years now and that rounded off his whole handsome look. So proud to call him my husband now.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My bridesmaids wore black off shoulder dresses that compromises our orange flower bouquets. They looked absolutely sexy and the dark colour compromised the evening as well. Elegant and stylish.

Marriage Officer

Our marriage officer was a friend of us, Gawie.

My Captured Moments

Our photographer was a preferred supplier from the venue. Frans Klopper. He took our breaths away with the stunning pictures that we received. Really great supplier. He knows exactly where to take the picture perfect photo. Thank you Frans..

The Wedding Planner

We did not make use of a planner or coordinater, altough the venue does have a helping person if you need someone. We all planned and arranged all the nessasary elements.

Wedding Transport

As we were only 500 meters from the Chapel, my dearest mom drove me down the road. We used our Fortuner as wedding transport.... As I said, I'm plain jane.. no need for fuss hehehe

Food & Cake

The food was prepared by the venue. We had a choice from their 6 menu’s and the food was beyond amazing. After the wedding, most guest gave compliments regarding the starter, main meal and the dessert. We had a round Ferrero Rocher wedding cake, build and transported by my sister in law.

Wedding Stationery

We designed and printed our stationery ourselves. The table seatings and the programs.

The Reception and Entertainment

Again, we made use of a preferred supplier, Henk from DJ Gauteng. He also made a short DVD of the whole ceremony and part of the wedding. He played the greatest songs and we all had so much fun!!
