Other than bagging the most amazing husband? I would have to say that it was the moment he saw me for the first time, we had been separated for almost two weeks before the wedding which made that moment so incredibly special. For as long as I live I will not forget his face.
It may be unusual but it was the top of my bucket list...Japan. My husband spent months agonizing over every detail and it was perfectly planned and everything I dreamed it would be. He even managed to keep it a secret and I only found out when we were about to board the plane in Hong Kong.
My wedding look was very classic and elegant, I spent hours finding the hair and make up I wanted and Gartier made it look even more beautiful than the images - the ladies are absolutely amazing. https://www.gartierweddingstylebrand.com/
My wedding dress was a vision which the ladies at Calegra Bridal House in Pretoria made reality. They were incredible in executing a dream I didn't think could become a reality. They have exquisite gowns from exceptional world class South African designers. https://www.thebridalhouse.co.za/
My Dune shoes my incredibly sweet sister-in-law and bridesmaid managed to schlep all the way from London.
My jewelry - some pearls.
We got married at Memoire in Muldersdrift - an absolutely exquisite venue that provides various different backgrounds that are just breathtaking. http://www.memoire.co.za/weddings-function-venue/
I had monthly facials for 6 months prior to the wedding, and continued with my usual Clarins regime. Gym I kept up my usual routine.
Classic elegance was our theme for the wedding, and Chantelle at Cafe Fleur just made it picture perfect. Our main table was absolutely breathtaking, it was a table top of flowers. She made an exquisite Chuppah outside in the garden and it was mesmerizing.
Our ligthing was provided by De.light and just created the best ambiance.
These two men I couldn't recommend enough, they are absolute masters at what they do:
Trompie van der Berg, is a lighting genius and an absolute ninja - he does not miss a shot. He was such an asset to us on our wedding day and gave us direction which enabled him to capture the most astonishing pictures. He also wrote such an stunning blog about our wedding.
Motion Craft Films literally brought us to tears more than once with his video of our day. Andre is so gifted and he captured moments where we didn't realize he was even there. Not a moment was missed.
It wouldn't have been the day it was without Itumeleng Malatsi from RIL Weddings, she is just a gem who managed to ensure everything ran smoothly with the warmest smile and I didn't have to lift a finger on the day.
The King's Men were just exceptional at ensuring that literally everyone was dancing practically the whole night.
