We wanted our wedding to resemble aspects of ourselves as bride and groom - non traditional and ultimately fun!
A highlight of the day - amoungst many - was the opportunity to get ready for the ceremony in a gorgeous French inspired glass conservatory, and shooting sparkling wine at my bridesmaids whilst lying in a gorgeous copper bath tub.
Cabbage & Rose Country Venue - Middelburg, Mpumalanga.
Guests were able to stay the night at beautiful accommodation available at the venue.
We wanted to bring the outdoors indoors, forest like with plenty of greenery - and found the perfect venue therefore.
Our decor involved plenty of green foliage on hanging shelves with naked lightbulbs and green foliage table runners. The ceremony took place in a forest, in a gorgeous glass conservatory.
The groom wore a vivid sea green/blue suit by Country Road complete with floral tie. Whilst the groomsmen wore complimentary colours inclusive of tan leather bow ties.
Our bridesmaids wore dresses by Silver Swallow Design & Gelique. I incorporated floral prints, ombre fades, lace and sequins. Each dress was different to suit each individuals personality & style

Alison Pope from Your Wedding Ceremony performed a non religious, light-hearted & fun ceremony incorporating elements of both bride & grooms personalities.

Michelle from Cabbage & Rose Country Venue, was outstanding in terms of assisting in making all of our ideas a reality
Catering was prepared in-house at Cabbage & Rose Country Venue. We wanted to incorporate some of the foods that we love eating into the menu. Starters involved foods stalls consisting of a Mexican Fiesta & Falafel Bar. Mains involved plated gourmet burgers served with lit sparklers! We then had a Dessert Table consisting of an ice-cream bar with toppings, a variety of cheesecakes and malva pudding bites served with custard.
Our wedding cake was created by Sumari of Sweetly Detailed. It perfectly incorporated all elements of our wedding - florals, copper dripping, and a figurine topper representing our gorgeous pug Lila Jane (who unfortunately couldn't be present at the wedding)
DJ Ultramel created the most perfect party atmosphere.
We tried and failed in terms of dancing lessons prior to the wedding, and then ended up winging it on the night - to my husbands favourite song - surrounded by guests with sparklers!
