I wore the beautiful Augusta gown by Sophia Tolli which I purchased from Bridal Manor. It was ivory and had a gorgeous chiffon skirt with a long trail and a beaded bodice with a low back. I wore my hair in an elegant up-style and my make up was soft and natural. My shoes were from Anella wedding shoes, satin ivory with peep toe (Lizette). I wore classic pearl earrings and a pearl bracelet.

We got married at Mongena Game Lodge in the Dinokeng Nature Reserve. We had a weekend wedding and most of our guests stayed over at the lodge on the Friday and Saturday evening.

I tried to stay fit and healthy by exercising 3 times a week and watched what I ate for 2 months before the wedding:-) I had never followed a strict facial regime and I am glad I decided to change that 6 months before the wedding. I started using Nimue facial products and what an incredible difference it has made to my skin. I did a few sunbed sessions a month before the big day and I did have my teeth whitened. I am happy I went the extra mile with my bridal beauty regime as I felt beautiful on my wedding day.
We opted for a natural bush wedding and did not go over board with the decor. Our colour pallet was protea pink, sage and beige. Our ceremony was held in the middle of the bush and there was not alot of decor done there as we wanted to keep it natural. For the flowers we used pink proteas, blushing brides, seed pods and greenery which were placed in a wooden box as the centre piece on the tables. We also used a few wooden laser cut signage boards made by Tian from lazer classic. All in all we did not use alot of decor and tried to keep it simple but elegant.
The groom wore a brown waist coat made by The Green Taylor with a white shirt, beige pants and brown shoes and belt. The groomsmen complemented the groom by wearing white shirts, beige pants, brown shoes and belt without the waistcoat.
My bridesmaids wore stunning Gelique dresses with a lace bodice and satin skirt. The colour of the dresses were green and champagne.

Our photos were captured by the talented Zeone from June and July. She was very professional, made us feel at ease and was alot of fun. Our videographer was Andre from Motion Craft Films. His work is amazing.
We were fortunate enough to have Marina Torien from Mongena Game Lodge to coordinate our day for us. She did an excellent job and the whole day ran smoothly.
I arrived in style on a game viewing vehicle!
The delicious food was prepared by the staff at Mongena Game Lodge. Our wedding cake was made by a friend it was a layered cheese cake with crackers, bread, biltong and an assortment of condiments.
Our invites and save the dates were electronic. All the other stationery was printed by Xquisite Design.
We did not take any professional dance lessons, we just winged it:-) We used Sonic State Productions as our DJ and we had an amazing evening and literally partied the night away!
