It all began 25 year ago while we were still in high school. We are high school sweethearts. We were together ever since.
He proposed over the phone because I was in Cape town & he was in Pretoria by then. After talking over the phone he sent sms proposing once again and I said yes. He paid a dowry in 2003 & in 2004 we got married @ home affairs. So this year we decided too celebrate our 13 years of marriage by having a wedding celebration & reaffirmation of vows..
The preparations, we had different ideas on what the set would be like. I wanted to create a memory for myself as we know that a wedding is every girl's dream. What is most memorable is the Hair and make-up squad on the day. My daughter helping me put on my dress. My husband waiting for me at the alter. Priceless moment was walking down the aisle. Decor was to die for.. Food was delicious.. It was one of the best days of my life

My dress was a stunning ballgown with rhinestones and bling.. My shoes were transparent bling slingback. My lingerie was bought at Temptations while my jewellery was bought at Lovisa. I felt like a queen on that day..
The wedding was held at Moretele Park resort in Mamelodi Pretoria. It was a one day event. It started with a garden wedding then the reception proceeded to the main hall.
When I bought the dress, it did not fit me as I was overweight. I decided I buy the Dress & start loosing weight. I then requested a personal trainer friend of mine to help me loose weight. We would hit the gym 3 times in a week. I did not have eating plan but I reduced portion. A week before I went for teeth whitening. I did not have enough time to go for facial and spa treatments.
Our wedding colours were Royal blue, white & silver. In the garden we had gazebos, Web tents, red carpet chairs, his & hers, podium. The gazebo was draped with white & silver.
Inside the main hall the decor was octopus draping, the stage had a backdrop of royal blue, silver & white. His & hers chairs and a leather table. We had 15 square tables with 12 white Tiffany chairs each. Centerpiece was a mirror vase with fresh flower. We had glass underplates, wine, champagne & tumbler glasses on the table. Programme and menu as well as guest favors were set on the tables. We had kiddies corner with jumping castles and party packs. Unlike the garden the hall had a white carpet.
The groom bought his royal blue 3 piece suit, royal blue tie & pink shirt at Palzini Menlyn. He also wore magnani shoes & belt from Spitz. He had Versace sunglasses on. The best man was wearing a dusty pink suit with black shirt & dusty pink tie he bought at Markams Menlyn. Otherwise there was a freestyle of suits for other groomsmen.
With bridesmaids we also had freestyle. My two daughters who were bridesmaids had their Dress designed by Geoff in Marshalltown and shoes they got from Moda & Solo. The other two also had their dresses designed and shoes from Solo

We did not use a photo booth. We have our own camera & video camera. So our friend Tsietsi helped us to capture special moments for us.
Our wedding planner was Ms Lindiwe Msiza of LD caterers to help coordinate the day..
I rode in a VW Taurag while my husband rode a BMW GT 320. We only needed transport to the venue as everything was happening in one place.

I don't know where to begin, we danced until the wee hours of the morning. I am a natural dancer so I did not need lesson. The sound, lighting & DJ came with the wedding package. The DJ new what song songs to play when.
