How did your love story begin?

Our Love Story began in 2013. I was in matrix in CVO Skool Lichtenburg. We played our last netball game in Groblersdal, where I stayed with Gert's sister for the weekend. He was put up to take me to my games and back home. We 'clicked' immediately and started hanging out but unfortunately I had to head back home at the end of the weekend. We lots all contact after that. A few months later I found him on Facebook and we started chatting again. On the 1st of September 2013 He called me up and said that he doesn't like the idea of not knowing where we stand, so I am his girlfriend now, no questions asked. It was a huge secret because my dad would have had a hernia if he knew that I was dating a guy 9 years older then me and his parents wouldn't have liked the idea much either. So a month later we met in secret for a weekend away and didn't see each other again for 3 months when I finally came to visit his parents back in Groblersdal. I moved here in February of 2014 and we basically started our life together. Had our fare share of ups and down I can tell you that but we made it through. I fell pregnant in 2016 and we decided that the right thing to do is to get married, although that was the plan straight from the beginning, but just not this soon. So our baby boy was born on 03/04/2017 and we got married on 29/07/2017. Best days of my life. I can now spend the rest of my life with the man of my dreams.

Tell us all about the proposal.

Wow the proposal...

It was just like I had always imagined it. It was my 21st birthday party and all our loved one's where there. his best friend made a speech and then handed the mike over to him. He said a couple of words and then did what I thought I'd never see in my life. He went down on one knee and proposed in the sweetest of ways. It was a huge surprise for me, although I did know that it was coming I just didn't know when.

Magical Moments

1. I will never forget the sight of him when I walked down the isle, he said he wasn't going to cry and I almost believed him, but as soon as I reached him I saw the tears he was so desperately trying to hide from me. That was the highlight of the wedding.
2. Then moment he said 'I DO' I could see his love for me, it was as if everything just started to make sense for me. AMAZING!
3. Our First dance - we could never dance together at all. He could dance with someone and I could dance with someone but we just didn't gel together. we were so scared of making fools of our selves, but as soon as we started dancing our first dance it just happened we had so much fun!

The Honeymoon

We did go on honeymoon, but went with the whole family, as his sister was visiting from Germany. we went to a little place close to Port Shepstone.

Wedding Gallery

My Special Day

My hair was a side braided half up-do, done by Chantelle Geyser from Salon Lillybelle, in Groblersdal.
My smokey eye makeup was done by my sister-in-law as she is a beautition at Papillion Beauty Salon, in Groblersdal.
My dress, oh the dress. I borrowed the dress from a friend and it fit perfectly... when I was standing still... as soon as I started walking the top slid down no matter how tight we laced it up. We took a white bra strap and made it halter neck witch worked quite well.
I wore Zellie Peep Toe Nude wedged, not to high and just comfortable enough to walk it, best choice ever.
I wore dangling diamante earrings with a diamante bracelet.
Didn't have a vail.

The Venue

We got married in our church and the after party was also held in the church hall.

Wedding Elements

We had plain and simple Décor, white table cloths with protea flower arrangements.
