How did your love story begin?

My husband and I met in a pharmacy, we are both medical representatives and in the most unexpected way we found love just doing life. Soon after our first encounter my husband sent me a message on Instagram requesting a coffee date, the coffee date latest 5hours and the rest is history.

Tell us all about the proposal.

The proposal was dreamy, all the elements of movie magic. My husband is quite the romantic we went away for the night to the south coast and unknown to myself I was in for my special moment. The engagement was a complete surprise, as we walked along Marina beach he wrote a note in the sand; "Lisa will you marry me?" Absolutely blown away by the surprise and the gorgeous ring I said "of course I will." A special day I will never forget a day my life changed forever.

The Honeymoon

Our honeymoon was magical we went to Phinda mountain lodge, we had a glorious three nights and the service was first class. While our getaway was relaxing we also kept very busy days participating in group activities game drives with the most amazing animal sights and on our return we indulged in five star cuisine. It certainly was a bush adventure of a lifetime.

The Venue

Nate and I decided on the breath taking views of Lythwood Lodge in the midlands. The venue was perfect and the best of both worlds luxury meets nature. We had our ceremony under a stretch tent over looking the splendor of the midlands mountains and lush tropical gardens. A few of our guests did stay the night and others decided to travel back once the formalities were complete

The Wedding Planner

My wedding planner was my bridesmaids, mother, and family, between the ladies we made the day a spectacular success.
My wedding was a build up and we all became involved and as result the process will always be fondly remembered.

Wedding Transport

Our wedding was at Lythwood lodge in the midlands we all drove up the night before and participated in the festivities from the night before. The retinue stayed over on the premises so special transport to the ceremony was not required

Food & Cake

The catering was done in house at Lythwood lodge. The food was Devine with generous portions for the starter which was a choice between Phyllo chicken platter and orange butter nut soup. The main course was a buffet with vegetables and lamb as the meat of the day with a tasty chicken curry. Desert was a delightful berry cheese cake and Malva Pudding to warm the cold bodies.
My wedding cake was traditional fruit cake designed by myself, I used different icing techniques and four tiers to create dimensions and variety. Pictures will be found in gallery.

Wedding Stationery

Thank you Amy.

The Reception and Entertainment

The party was a night to remember we had such a festive atmosphere created by both a live band and a DJ. The band added to the ambiance in the most thrilling of ways adding the old school classic element catering for both the young and old, the band is called Afritude and comprises of three local guys from Durban. The DJ saw us into the early hours of the morning ensuring the dance floor was kept alive. Dance lessons were not required as we did not add the stress element we went with it and just enjoyed each other and the moments in between.
