Magical Moments

We got registered a year prior to the wedding and subsequently moved to Cape Town.
Our wedding was planned by both families in the months leading up to June. It required many video calls, pictures, quotes and emails to have everything arranged.

Best moments: Our photoshoot at Moses Mabhida Stadium (as we are both super fanatical about sports) an hour before the actual ceremony.

The Honeymoon

No- we actually haven't. We couldn't get leave off work and decided not to indulge in an overseas trip.

Wedding Gallery

My Special Day

Modern Tamil - no full traditional plait, but rather a neat row of full blood red roses, pinned to the side of my upstyle. Traditional red Sari with heavy crystal and embroidery work. Make up was by a very talented lady from Unique Brides, who also provided much of the heavy costume jewellery.

The Venue

AT umhlatazana Temple Hall. No, all of our guests were from Durban.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I tried to keep fit by running 3 times a week. My birthday is in May, so i sort of over indulged then... not the greatest idea, but no regrets.

Wedding Elements

It was very simple. Religious and minimal. Coconuts and flowers all around us in bright, vibrant colours

My Groom And His Groomsmen

He wore a traditional gold nehru suit with red pants and a red and gold turban

Beautiful Bridesmaids

Both my sisters wore traditional saris.

Marriage Officer

ADV P Singh

My Captured Moments

KRSNA Das Photography - for both video and photography

The Wedding Planner

No planners. just my mum in law and mum

Wedding Transport

We drove ourselves to our wedding ... unusual but we loved it

Food & Cake

This was done by relatives

Wedding Stationery

My cards were made in India and my mum obtained them upon her visit.

The Reception and Entertainment

We didnt have dancing, due to the limited time to conclude the rituals.
We both love dancing though, so we don't need lessons ;-)
