Married on May 6, 2017 in Western Cape

Our Wedding Day

After 8 and a half years of being together, Kyle and I got married on Saturday 6th May 2017 at DuVon Estate in Robertson.

Being a hopeless romantic, it is safe to say that I had been waiting for this day for as long as I can remember.

If I had to describe our wedding day in one word it would be Love, the Love we felt that day, not only from us to each other but from our guests was heartwarming. After all the months of planning, spreadsheets, e-mails, phone calls and meetings, every bride hopes that the day will be nothing short of amazing.

There is no denying that with every wedding a few things didn’t go according to plan, as I was told, “It wouldn’t be a wedding without a few hiccups” but we can honestly say that we would not change a thing. Our service providers were wonderful, accommodating, friendly and professional all in one.

The ceremony was set on the veranda of our venue which overlooked the beautiful mountains and I walked down the aisle to a piano version of “Just the way you are” by Bruno Mars. After the ceremony it was time to sign our register and take photos to last us a lifetime. While we were snapping away (and surviving the wind) our guests sipped on drinks and were served Canape’s.

Our reception was phenomenal. From the wonderful food, the emotional speeches, the good music and the love that filled our venue. Our first dance was a song by Ed Sheeran called “Perfect”, which essentially describes our wedding day.

We danced the night away with our friends and family and ended the evening with the ever so popular “tunnel” at 2am.

What a day, what a night and oh how excited we are to start our new journey together as husband and wife.
