The highlight of our special day was when we saw each other for the first time and that we spent it with family and friends but most of all that we could say "I do"!
We will always remember our honeymoon for the wonderful experience it was. We visited Paris and then Barcelona. From there we took a cruise and visited Italy and France (Naples, Florence, Pisa, Rome, Nice and Marseilles). It ended in Amsterdam before heading home.
As a little girl, you dream of your big day and it was everything I imagined it would be. For us, it was all about our family and friends and we planned the day to ensure that they have the time of their lives. And they did! My all time favorite dress made by Catherines Collections, flat pink pumps and very special pearl earrings my mom gave me. My mom also made a hair piece out of pearls. Flowers done by my new sister in law and she exceeded my wildest expectations especially with my gorgeous bouquet.
We got married at Lavender Hill Country Estate just outside Bethlehem in the Free State. Family and friends arrived from Friday and had time to explore the beautiful area and also relax before the wedding on Saturday afternoon. Evette and the staff from Lavender Hill made everyone feel welcome and at home.
Every bride wants to feel her best so I trained very hard to fit into my dream dress.
Hall decorated with grey & pink. King proteas everywhere with fairy lights and green leaves hanging from the ceiling made the perfect atmosphere.
My handsome groom had a blue suit and a pink tie to match these of the groomsmen who had grey suits. They all had a pair of pink Happy Socks as well just for the fun of it.
My three bridesmaids had salmon pink and white dresses made specially for them.
What a special story. Dr Meyer de Kock was the Pastor and we have come a long way. He was the Pastor at my christening as well as my confession of faith. He was also the marriage officer for my mother and stepdad which made it so much more special to be able to have him there.
The photos were taken by the amazing Pulanie Naude from Life with Jimmy and the video was done by the talented Chris Kotze and Jonathan Hattingh from CJ Concepts.. The captured all the special moments of our amazing day!
Evette from Lavender Hill assisted with the planning as well as my matron of honor, Jolize Strydom who also did all the stationery for the wedding. I could not have done it all without her.
We did not have any transport as we spent the entire day at the venue.
Lavender Hill prepared the most amazing food four us and the wedding cakes (Humming bird and Red velvet) were made by a lady in Bethlehem.
My amazing matron of honor Jolize Strydom designed all the wedding stationery.
What a party it was. I think if the venue did not close at 03:00 we would have partied until the sun came up. We had a fantastic Master of Ceremonies, our very good friend Nico van Heerden, who entertained us as well as a DJ I have known since primary school! We took dance lessons for our first dance and the song was "Everything" by Michael Buble.
