My whole wedding was a highlight but two of my most memorable moments was first when we said our own vows to each other, it was so heartfelt and personal, I remember so many guests commending us on what we said. The other highlight was our surprise wedding dance... We practiced in secret and told no one about it and wowed our friends and family with an entertaining and memorable dance!
We started off with a night at the Protea hotel in Clarens, then went to Suncity for the week and ended off with a weekend at Kedar Lodge just outside Rustenburg. It was such a blessing!
We were privileged to get married on the picturesque Lavender Hill Estate just outside Bethlehem in the Free State. All our family members and many of our guests stayed on the estate. Great service, luxury rooms and delicious food!

We did most of the decor by ourselves, we were on a tight budget but it was great to be able to do it ourselves and see the results in the end and getting complemented on it.
Our five groomsmen, consisted of a brother, best friends and oldest school friend wore grey suit pants, white shirts with navy tie and chocolate brown shoes that we bought for them...
They still wear of those items today!
My sister and sisters in law were my beautiful bridesmaids, they wore matching baby blue dresses that my Mom personally made for each of them.
I was privileged to have my oldest school friend and super talented professional photographer, Bonita Burger, capture my wedding day. It was such a great gift to have her there as my guest and photographer. She made us feel so relaxed and captured all the right moments.
