Romantic. Historical. Elegant.
Mark and I both love the Karoo as well as all things classic, so Matjiesfontein was the perfect choice for us. We had a weekend wedding so that everyone could enjoy time together and make the most of the festivities - this was important to us since we had guests from all corners of the globe.
We were married in the old chapel, which dates back to 1895, sneaked a kiss in the courthouse, frolicked in the Karoo veld, enjoyed canapes on the Lord Milner lawn, and then partied the night away with our loved ones in the transport museum. To add to the fun, guests were transported around the tiny town in a red London bus from the 1950s. We were so thrilled to kick off our happily-ever-after with so much love, fun, and old-world charm!
