How did your love story begin?

It all started with the word "Finally! :)". We knew each other from school, but never really talked. A few years after school we reconnected via Facebook.

I invited this guy I knew from school and he then replied with the word "Finally! :)". All I can say the rest is history!

While typing this I feel the exact same exciting feeling I had that day.

Tell us all about the proposal.

It was a surprise! Even to my Dad, whom he asked months ago for my hand in marriage. After a few months my Dad thought that maybe he's changed his mind, but he didn't.

After 3 months of anxiety, stress and mood swings he finally got his ducks in a row. He popped the question in beautiful Clarens, Free State. I really didn't see this one coming! We took a selfie (I know, haha) of the amazing view and the next moment he was on his knees popping the question, "Will you marry me?".

Although I was nagging him to get engaged for a few months, but damn, I didn't think he'll do it this quick. I was overwhelmed with shock, happiness, enjoyment, in love and already started thinking about our perfect day!

Magical Moments

I remember repeating words to myself all day, "Live in the moment.", everyone that gave me advice told me that the day will be over before you know it. I am so happy that I followed their advise.

The first thing I remember about the wedding is that moment right before the ceremony. I was still up in my room and I could hear the violin and cello wedding music blowing softly into the room with the wind. That was the moment I realised that this is going to happen. I felt a warm and happy feeling with no regard about what people are going to say about me. I just remembered that I wanted to walk down the aisle and get married to my best friend.

The other memory I have of our wedding is the speeches. I absolutely adored all the speeches at our wedding.

And of course, the father daughter dance and our first dance as husband and wife.

The Honeymoon

Yes we did, Thailand. We traveled the most of it. Would love to go back and explore the things we missed after our budget ran out. (haha)
