Magical Moments

The highlight of my day was walking down the aisle with my father and looking into the eyes of the man of my dreams, who I can now call my Husband.

Wearing my beautiful dress, feeling like a princess, dancing with my friends & family and laughing until the early morning hours was beyond a dream come true, it was the most memorable, special and most loving day of my life.

The Honeymoon

We took a 2 week road-trip to all our favorite destinations along the Garden route, stayed in the most interesting hotels, boats and challets and properly spoiled ourselves wining, dining and sight seeing.

The Venue

We got married at the historical Simondium Country Lodge that lies between the beautiful Stellenbosch and Franschhoek winelands in the Western Cape. They have the most gorgeous rustic chapel called the Peacock Palace. We got dressed and ready at the venue, stayed in the luxurious Honeymoon suite that included breakfast the following morning and our guest also had the option of staying over, which most of them did and ensure that we celebrated until the early morning hours.

Marriage Officer

The father of a good friend who also was my MC at my wedding.

My Captured Moments

Monique from Lovepix Photography took all our fotos and spend the whole day with us capturing every special moment.
We did not have a photo booth, but did make use of a photo frame that the guests posed with.

The Wedding Planner

No, we did absolutely everything ourselves, from decor, to place settings, guest favors, fairy lights, table runners, you name it. We prefered to be completely hands-on with our wedding and make it personal and special to us.

Wedding Transport

My bridesmaids drove me to the venue. The chapel and reception venue was right accross from each other, so there was need to arrange for transport and we got ready, had our hair & make-up done and dressed at the venue in the Honeymoon Suite. It was truly special and we had so much fun.

Food & Cake

The food was prepared by the in-house caterer and wow! Was there food. We settle for a plated dinner and the portion sizes was emaculate and the food tasted heavenly. They really have an amazing menu and a wide variety to choose from.

Our cake was made and delivered by Cake Art by Iris and she did an amazing job. She went absolutely out of her way to make our cake look and taste like nothing I've tasted before.

Wedding Stationery

I did it all myself, each little detail and card I designed, printed, wrapped, cut, paste - everything that was necessary and had to be done, I did with my own two hands.
