We got married on the 18th of March 2017 at The Harkerville Forest Lodge near Plettenberg Bay.
It was the most perfect day, cool and cloudy (just like we prayed for!) We got married on the grounds of the lodge where we also held our reception. All of our loved ones and friends were present to witness our special day. We wanted a forest wedding since we can remember and the lodge in Harkerville was perfect!
Me and my husband, Ruan made all of the décor ourselves. My mother made the table cloths and I made the serviettes and bunting flags. My mother in law and Oumie Bets made the cupcakes.
We didn't want our wedding to be one day and it's all over, so we decided to make it a weekend gathering. Our families and a few friends joined us for a braai the Friday and the Sunday after the wedding we all had breakfast together before we all departed.
It was truly special! I got my fairytale, because I got my Prince that I love to bits!!!
