Magical Moments

We are both fortunate to have been given a second chance at love. We met through a communal friend, and it was basically love at 2nd sight :) We got married 1 year and 1 week after meeting each other. We are absolutely the perfect fit, soulmates, best friends and very much in love. We each have a 5 year old son - and now we have twins! Johan and Joshua the lights of our lives - as you can see in all the pictures just love and so many smiles. Blessings to us and our entire family. The wedding was absolutely perfect, the joining of two families who have had hardship and now believe in miracles and second chances. We are eternally thankful.

The Honeymoon

Yes we did! We went to Switzerland and to France. We had our own boat and did a cruise down the Saone river into the Burgundy area where we tasted the best food and wine! Wynand was the skipper and I was the first mate :) We had a blast, some of our friends joined us for the first two days as we got settled on our caravan on the water. In Switzerland we visited family and I saw my first snow!

My Special Day

My wedding look! Hair was very natural and curly, loose with a very pretty bead, pearl and bling hairband. Wedding dress was Vintage style - purchased from Bridal Warehouse in Melrose Arch - excellent service and such friendly staff.
Lingerie... my secret
Jewellery was a pearl bracelet to go with my hairband.
Very loud and busy floral shoes :)

The Venue

We got married at Wynand's parents house (Welgeluksalig) on Walkersons Estate in Dullstroom. We stayed over at the hotel, this is also where we had dinner as our reception. The small group of family stayed between Welgeluksalig and nother house they rented.

My Bridal Beauty Regime

Spending time with my fiancée and our boys, excellent for health, fitness, skin and overall happiness.

Wedding Elements

We didn't have any rented elements. The ceremony was held on the stoep of my parents in law's house at Walkersons Estate. My mom did the flowers, which was all white and green. White roses was from Alsmeer at Multiflora, and the rest was taken from the garden. Beautiful carpets from Oman was under our feet during the ceremony. At the reception we only had candles and sparklers!

My Groom And His Groomsmen

My groom wore a navy blue suit from Zara, shirt and tie from Country Road.
The boys were the groomsmen, they wore navy pants from Cotton On, long sleeve shirts found online, with suspenders also from Cotton on and blue and white caps from Mr price.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

My niece was our bridesmaid, she wore her own dress in Navy. My mom made a precious flower headpiece - she looked beautiful!

Marriage Officer

Ds Jan Potgieter from Dullstroom. He is a family friend and can you believe it also a Potgieter :)

My Captured Moments

Our photographer was Dust and Dreams Photography. This lovely couple made our wedding very special and they fitted in with our very small and intimate wedding.

The Wedding Planner

We didn't have a planner, it was a combination of mothers, myself and Wynand.

Wedding Transport

We used my father in law's green little Jimny :) I love it! As it was on the farm, we drove from the Hotel pas all the house and everyone shouted as drove past to the ceremony.

Food & Cake

The lovely food and wedding cake was prepared by Walkersons Hotel. The food was absolutely amazing!

Wedding Stationery

We didn't have stationary, our invitations was by phone call as we only invited our direct families.

The Reception and Entertainment

We had our reception as a 4 course dinner at the Walkersons Hotel and Spa. Their food and venue is breathtaking!
No dance lessons needed, just a lovely dinner with family.
