We tied the knot at a beautifull little venue on the West Coast simply named, Gelukkie.

Gelukkie meaning luck or lucky could not hold more truth for us. In a world full of people to find your soul mate requires some generous amounts of luck. And sometimes when luck runs out, fate takes over...

We met at the wrong times of our lives, I was still in school and he out there in the "real" world. There was no "love" attraction and we were just friends, not even friends, lets say acquaintances.
Somehow, againts all odds, we kept running into each other over the years and ended up keeping contact.

Texting and phoning soon turned into visits whenever he was in the Western Cape.
After a lovely time during a holiday he had to leave again. But this time it felt very different, not like friends saying goodbye...

Love can do things to you. It can make you delightfully crazy, very impulsive, utterly happy and fall head over heels. We needed a final moment like a simple goodbye to make a fountain of emotion burst inside, extremely contagious to the outside.

Standing before him I remenbered the day we met 11 years ago. Strangers with no attraction at all. But live, luck and love has a way of surprising you.
