Magical Moments

The way my husband looked at me, when walking down the aisle to the guests that made time to be there with us, to my bridesmaids that made sure everything went as smoothly as possibly. To my decor and of course the speeches and first dance.

The Honeymoon

We went on a pre-honeymoon weekend away in George this past weekend at http://www.seabreezecabanas.co.za/

As we are saving for our BIG honeymoon in the UK next year June for two weeks.

My Special Day

I went for a different look for my wedding, didn't want the traditional boob tube or mermaid dress. Went for a princess looking dress that flowed and definitely made me look smaller at the waist. I hired my dress from A & T Eventique in Durbanville, Cape Town: https://www.facebook.com/a.t.eventique/

I went for blue sandles with sparkles, something that I could wear again and of course my something blue.

I had a lovely bracelet which I received for my 21st birthday, which I had never worn and thought I would wear it for my wedding as my something old.

My veil was something borrowed from one of my bridesmaids.

The Venue

We got married at Ruslamere Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre Durbanville: http://ruslamere.co.za/

We stayed over along with my mother and some friends of ours. Other guests stayed at near by B & B's, who then joined us for breakfast the next morning,

My Bridal Beauty Regime

I went to the gym at much as possible and did some sun bed sessions to give me that extra tanned glow for the big day

Wedding Elements

Our venue, Ruslamere, arranged all the decor, furniture, lights etc for my reception and I purchased the flowers for the tables, bouquets and rose petals separately.

My husband's aunty did our table seating, Mr & Mrs Signs and wedding favors.

My Groom And His Groomsmen

The groom and groomsmen all hired their suits from a place in Tokai: http://mrsuithire.co.za/

They are reasonably priced as well.

Beautiful Bridesmaids

All my bridesmaids wore grey knee length infinity dresses for the day.

I wanted then to be able to wear their dresses again and as you can change the design of these dresses, they are rather versatile for any occasion.

Marriage Officer

Our marriage offer was a gentleman from our Church in Plumstead.

My Captured Moments

We used Eben Jacobs Photography, https://www.facebook.com/Eben-Jacobs-Photography-254634857921201/

He was recommended to us from one of my bridesmaids, as he did her wedding photography too.

He was absolutely amazing and well priced.

The Wedding Planner

No I did not, I planned everything on my own with the help of my bridesmaids

Wedding Transport

Myself and my two bridesmaids went up the night before, as we stayed over to finish the last minute touches.

Everyone drove up with their own vehicles.

Food & Cake

The food was made by the hotel from their restaurant, The Rusty Oak Bistro: http://www.rustyoak.co.za/

One of my bridesmaids made our wedding cake for us.

Wedding Stationery

One of my creative bridesmaids printed our invites and thank you notes and I just did the finishing touches with doilies and raffia for a more rustic look.

The Reception and Entertainment

Our wedding reception was amazing, we didn't take dance lessons, my husband can dance really well, so he lead me the right way.

Our DJ was David Matfield from That DJ Guy: https://www.facebook.com/thatdjguy.co.za/

He was amazing, played all the right songs at the right times.Old and new, loads of dance songs, we danced all night.
