We went to Bali for an amazing two weeks!! Best vacation ever!!! I’ve always wanted to visit Bali because I love island holidays. It was so special to spend so much time with my husband! We rented a scooter and drove all over the Island, exploring and seeing the best of Bali!
I wanted to go for a classic look, but still make a statement, that is why I chose a dress that reflects my personality. My dress was a Milla Nova couture gown from Italy, ordered through Vonvè Bridal Couture in Johannesburg. I chose a classic chic bun as a hairstyle, because having my hair up was better suited with the dress. Shoes by Michael Kors, in a toffee color, not too high and very comfy! Accessories.... Earrings from Mimco, and a Swarovski bracelet my husband gifted me about 3 weeks before the wedding.
We got married at the best venue!!! Crystal Barn Country Estate in the KZN Midlands. Most beautiful and uniquely different, stunningly decorated venue I’ve ever seen.
Our guests did spend the night, even if some only had about two hours of shut eye! ;-) We had a great party!
I did some teeth whitening at home, the product is Opalescence. Works like a charm to get your teeth pearly white!
Went for a few facials and peels to lighten my pigmentation. And of course a few massages to ease the tension.....
Most amazing flowers!!!! We had greenery and white flowers as table runners. We also had a STUNNING flower wall, which we were able to use as a backdrop for polaroid guest book photos. Tables were long wooden tables without tablecloths, with Paris metal chairs.
We used the lovely Lana Human to capture our beautiful day. She is an absolute stunner and takes the best photos. I like wedding pictures being light and airy, and that’s exactly her style of shooting. We didn’t make use of a videographer or photobooth. Instead we had a Polaroid Instax camera, where the guests could take selfies and stick them in our guest book, along with a special message written by them.
The Wedding Company SA did full coordination for our wedding. I had zero stress and they arranged everything beautifully!
My dad is an avid collector of vintage Ford models. He restored all of the cars in his collection to its original state. We chose an off white car for our big day, which is probably the one he’s most proud of. I think it was very special for him to be able to use one of his cars for my wedding.
