Marrying my best friend and of course... The daddy daughter dance was the most memorable. Everyone was in tears.. It was something special I would never forget.
We have not gone on honeymoon yet as we cannot afford to do so. We will save up and enjoy our honeymoon when we do get to go away.
My dress was Calvin Klein and it was a straight flowing dress with such simple detail to it. We had a dress maker add in a little detail to it. My dad had bought me boots to wear for my wedding from Texas... i just though it would be something different and funky. My dad bought me simple but elegant pearls with a bit of diamonds. Hair was done by "Hair By Candice" and make up was done by Joanne from "Red Square" from Liberty Midlands Mall
We got married at the beautiful Hilton Bush Lodge. Lauren and all the staff were amazing. Most of my guests stayed at the lodge which made it amazing to spend time with friends and family we haven't seen in ages.
Our decor was very rustic but elegant. There was no extra lighting needed as the venue had beautiful lighting in the reception and ceremony.
The groomsmen all had dark jeans and button up shirt and braces. As simple as that
We ordered dresses from glitter and glamor Creations and they were stunning.
My marriage officer was Pierre Venter-Maher. We saw him at the Camelot bridal fair a few years back... He was brilliant. Everyone was asking how we found this guy to marry us and MC for the event. He took the seriousness out of all of it and made it fun... couldn't have asked for better.
Candice Ross was our photographer. We got some stunning photos.
We had amazing planners. Noyla Steyn and Ina Loots. The decor layout was gorgeous.
We did not need transport as the ceremony and reception was at the same venue.
The food was supplied by The Hilton Bush Lodge and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was fresh and tasty.
I designed the invitations and printed them myself. We had help from wedding coordinator for the table seating names etc.
We did not take any dance lessons, even though we both have two left feet... It would have been too rehearsed. We just winged it and it worked.
