Our wedding from beginning to end was magical and felt like a fairytale. Our most anticipated moment was saying "I do" and hearing that we are now husband and wife!
We spent a week in town after the wedding but ended up both being sick- this must've been the whole rush of all the wedding planning. It was all worth it though. We do wish to go overseas on honeymoon in this year. Who knows? This might even be our chance :-)
Our choice of Venue and Decor: We wanted our day to be one we'd never forget. We chose lots of vintage looking decor and colors were Blush Rose gold and White. Our idea was to have a relaxed and loving atmosphere which not only we would enjoy but also our guests. It was important to us to choose an intimate setting to create that warm feeling amongst all our guests. Everything came together so perfectly.
What stood out to us and which we made sure our venue had, was loads of trees and greenery, as we both love nature. Our guests loved this too!
My dress: I wanted a vintage yet modern look and this came beautifully together with the dress design I chose, as well as my hair style and makeup. My dress was amazingly created by Rene H Couture and my make up and hair by the lovely LA Makeup Artistry!
I was so lucky to have WON my wedding shoe at IMAANI shoes. Imaani Shani in rose gold - I was one happy bride! Jewellery and accessories chosen at Sterns and Woolies! I chose a circular necklace as this is a symbol of love and very dainty earrings in rose gold which suited my hair style so well.
We chose the beautiful Vredenheim Estate - Barrique Restaurant. It has a peaceful, intimate and nature feel- Just what we wanted to spend with family and friends. The coordinator there is amazing and she literally made us so happy! Guests didn't sleep over as there was just the one guest house for hubby and I :-)
I focused alot on my skin and making sure it stayed clear of unwanted pimples or marks. I also went for various beauty treatments- mainly to relax as wedding planning can get abit much at times :-) Another beauty regime for me was getting my nails healthy and beautifully grown for the big day- And they ended up perfect.
Fitness :-) Not much at the gym but definitely tried to have a balanced diet.

Bridesmaids dresses also designed by Rene H Couture in the gorgeous blush and rose gold. I saw the beautiful design online and decided that all of them should have their own unique style. This looked stunning!
We chose our Pastor to marry us and also had amazing marital classes :-)
We chose Tanith Muller Photography as she has an amazing style and great eye for detail. We decided last minute on a second shooter: The Wedding Journalists, so we could have shots from another angle which came out so beautiful.
Videographer was 'Reel wheel production's. This team went literally out of their way for us and stayed from beginning to end. They were one of the last people to leave. what a special video they created.
Photobooth by FANTASY PHOTOBOOTH. Guests spent loads of time at the booth. This is a great way to have guests take something special home with them to remember the day.
We planned our own wedding from start to finish and it all came together just as we planned. If we look back, we can literally say "We'll do it over again just as it was".

We chose the stylish Mercedes Benz AMG. Bride, Groom and bridal party were transported in three of these.

Dj and lighting by Gerome Freeman. We wanted a soft purple light to shine inside the reception and this was amazingly done by the DJ.
We practised our first dance all by ourselves and it was extra special on the day. However, we forgot most of what we practised and just went with showing our true emotion as husband and wife :-)
We had cousin Ruby Truter (Heart Fm jazz competition winner 2017) sing for us. This was magical. Such great emotion and love felt in the room. Definitely set the mood.
