I was very nervous the morning of our wedding. I had my sister with me, but the nerves were still getting to me. I knew that when I saw Wynand all my nerves would dissapear, he is my rock. When I walked down the isle and saw him I struggled to control the tears! Seeing him for the first time was one of my biggest higlights of the day. Another higlight was my brother who walked me down the isle, wearing one of my late fathers ties.
We stayed at Milstream 3km outside of Dullstroom from 20 November till 24 November. We then left Millstream for the picturesque Bushman's nek in the south of Drakensberg.
We got married at the lovely Red Barn just outside of Dullstroom. Our family stayed at The Red Barn and our guests stayed at Highland Giants Estate, Schaeffer's Halt, Dullstroom Country Cottages and Trout River Valley

We made almost everything ourself. We had wooden boxes on the tables filled with rosemary, lisianthius and moss. There were white horns in the boxes mixed with the flowers. We had no table cloths as we had wooden trestle tables that were amazing. We had white wimbledon chairs. We made rope balls that hung from the ceiling filled with fairy lights. We also had white kudu horns decorating the stairs
Wynand and his groomsman as well as our son wore black formal suites with white shirts. Wynand had a black tie and the groomsman a light sliver blue tie. Our son opted for a black bow tie.

We were lucky enough to have Marleen from Pink Flower Productions take our photos! We absolutely loved working with her. She put us at ease and helped us work through all the photos smoothly. I would definitely recommend them! She even sent us a sneak peak the following day! We set up n photo booth as well and the guests took photos through out the evening
We didn't have a planner. I had my mom and her best friend help me with all the organization. My moms friend does weddings and she did this for us as a wedding present.
My dad passed away a few years ago and my sister bought his Toyota dubble cab. It is a champagne colour. So we decided it would be fitting to use as my wedding transport

One of my best friends is a graphic designer. She made our wedding invites for us. We made a video clip invite to send to all our guests with photos of us and music. Everybody loved it!
We both work full time. My husband is a farmer so he works long hours. We didn't take lessons but I used to be a ballet teacher so I worked out our dance. We had Clinton from EMC productions as our DJ for the day. He was an absolute star! He even had extra lighting put up for us!
