Our Story
God's hand at work.
We've all heard the saying "Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans", well that is how I can best describe my encounter with my Bonzai. After a hectic week of putting out fires in the workplace I had agreed to meet with a friend over lunch, I obliviously walked into that restaurant without foresight of the direction my life was about to take.
Anyway, I would not even tell you what my lunch order was that day because seated a few tables from me was an imposing figure I caught out of the corner of my eye. I decided to summon all the charm I could master and I strolled over to say hello to these two ladies. As I arrived, My Bonzai, the very lady I had been eager to meet showed little interest in me, boy was I in trouble!
Well it was too late to turn back, as I was busy making small chat with these two ladies I was determined to particularly get her attention. Luckily that all changed for me as the conversation progressed.
Moving right along, a month later she accepted my proposal for a dinner date, which became a surprisingly nervous evening for me. I was clearly out of my element, what could I say, this woman seemed very hard to impress but I was not prepared to give up on her.
Luckily for me she agreed to a second date, and I was not willing to let my nerves get the best of me again so I pulled out the big guns. Dinner at a trusted restaurant would set the tone for the evening and hopefully help me get through to her. The rest was history!!
That happened to be the very evening she opened up to me about herself and I instantly fell in love with this beautiful mind and a stunning body. I knew it was love because she haunted my thoughts daily, I grew fond of being around her, not to mention she made a mean dish in the kitchen.
From that moment onward I never stopped putting on the charm and now she is about to be my wife, I've won her heart as she has mine, and I couldn't be more proud, I am not letting this one go, so help me God!
