The highlights of our wedding day was definitely the I do's in front of God and everyone there, it was such a nice ceremony. Our pastor gave the best preach which we will never forget and always keep dear to our hearts.
A month and half before the wedding my dad had a heart attack, which was devastating to all of us - So to bring you to the good part of the story - It is every girl's dream to have her father walking her down the isle and my father was able to walk me down the isle even after he had a very big operation and he was still recovering.
Our first dance was very special - We did a ramba dance and it came out so nice. We were very worried about that before the time, but when we started dancing, it was just meant to be.
Our photo session was very memorable, we enjoyed every bit of it and our photographer made us feel right at home.
We went on honeymoon to Kruger Wildtuin, we had such an amazing honeymoon. We stayed at Ngwenya Lodge for 5 days and the 6th and 7th day we stayed at Manzini Chalets in Merloth Park. We interacted with elephants, did the panorama route (such a beautiful route not to be missed). We went to Jane Goodwill Chimpanzee Eden and that was amazing. We also went to go see the rain forest in Nelspruit. Wow! There was so many things on the list and we did them all, we went for a sunset drive, night drive - where we got to see a leopard in action. We did a sunset cruise on the Friday and when we arrived back at our Chalet at Manzini Chalets in Merloth Park we walked into a room full of candles, rose pedals every where and a romantic dinner set out on the table for us. It was so special.
Hair & Make up - Benita Van Der Heever from Beauty on Wheels in Newcaslte, KZN had done my hair as well as my bridesmaids, mother and mother of the groom. She and her team is amazing. I felt the most beautiful on my wedding day.
Fels Retreat Lodge in Paulpietersburg.
Fels retreat is beautiful and everything you need is in one place. The host, Sarina Hayward has very high standards and did everything to perfection.
The place is beautiful (It has the Church, the Ceremony hall, everything in one place). The best of it all is Sarina does everything from A-Z. There is place for 60 people to sleep. The honeymoon room is do die for and looks very good.
It is situated in the mountains and it makes for beautiful pictures. It even rained on the day and the pictures was better than I could ever imagine.
My goal a year before the wedding was to loose 10 kilograms, which I did and my dress fitted perfectly. I was fortunate enough to do everything from head to toes, the teeth whitening, manicure, pedicure, nails, toenails, waxes, got my hair colored etc.
The decor and flowers was done by Sarina Hayward at Fels Retreat Lodge in Paulpietersburg.
The draping on the roof was pentigum. The flowers were made up out of Roses (Mauve colour) , pentigum, lavender and light pink roses. It really looked amazing.
There was candle lightning everywhere.
The groom wore a grey suite bought from Woolworth's with a Mauve colour tie. The groomsmen wore the same grey pants without the jacket and every one of them had different ties to where - The one wore pink, grey and a lighter mauve.
Saartjie from J & S Clothing made the bridesmaids dresses. It was beautiful. The Made of Honour wore the mauve infinity dress, my other bridesmaid Jacolene wore the grey infinity dress and Su-Marie wore the pink infinity dress. They looked so beautiful.
Manus Lourens our pastor was our marriage officer. He was excellent and he gave the best preach ever, we will never forget it.
Chantel Els from Pixalation in Vryheid was our photographer. She is amazing. She got everything at the right time and she just really has an eye for these kind of things.
Jaco Luus from Wedding Films in Newcastle was our videographer. He had a drone there and was flying over the mountains. We are still awaiting the video at the moment, but as you all know - Good things take time.

The venue comes with it's own brilliant personal planner and her name is Sarina. She is a beautiful person and will go above and beyond to stick within your budget and to try and build a wedding around your budget. She did everything perfectly. The fact that everything is in one place, the venue, church and rooms are so nice, we didn't have to drive anywhere. Sarina did everything from A-Z. Her food is extraordinary, the flowers fitted perfectly with ours colors, the decor looked amazing. Everything from A-Z was perfect.
We didn't have wedding transport - Well to be exact we didn't need it, because the Church and Venue is basically next to each other.

My granny and my aunt made the wedding cake, it was so special and beautiful.
I did it all myself
We started taking dance lessons 4 months before the wedding - Our dance was a ramba and very hard to learn, but luckily we had a very good instructor from Vryheid who assisted us - Nadine Pillay.
Sarina from Fels Retreat in Paulpietersburg did the lightning.
We had a DJ, Thinus Franzsen from Vryheid - His music was just right, everybody at the party was enjoying it a lot, everybody was dancing. We had a very nice celebration.
